AND poor ownership? Over the long haul, it wouldn't.
Pretty sure the last time it neared bankruptcy, it was saved though.
Not sure where they would move it that would be more profitable... Don't see them folding.
What did you see happening? |

Thank you Brian Murray! Peter Holland just played his 25th game for the Leafs so the Ducks will have 2 firsts and 2 seconds in next years draft. |

No they won't. They'll be trading at least one of those picks at the deadline... Guaranteed. |

Such an embarrassing game.. Don't even know what to say after that. We need to start getting wins, and good lord find us an owner who is willing to spend! If there's 15 other teams in this league that have lower attendance numbers than us, yet they can spend more on their roster, then we should be able to spend more! Bullpoop |

Side note - I really want Evander Kane on the Sens. Wonder what gets it done? Stone, Cowen, 2nd? |

Oh yeah, I could see that. Especially since next years draft isn't that deep. Still, that pick will be used to pick up a defenseman more than likely. I have wet dreams about the Ducks using one (or both) of those picks and say, Luca Sbisa to pry Weber out of Nashville. But then the Ducks would have $23+ million in cap space tied up in 3 players. Reality sucks. |

Your wet dreams have unrealistic expectations. |

How can we be paying Greening 3x $2.9M the next few years? A supposedly fast guy who never skates fast, no hockey sense, no effort. Give the average Newf an $8.7M guarantee, and what could possibly go wrong? Trade him + a 3rd for absolutely nothing, and try again.
Spezza is getting to embarrassing territory on the minus side. Just doesn't seem to feel any responsibility when things go bad on the defensive end. The best players just seem to have a certain pride that coupled with superior talent, makes them many times more valuable than the flash and dash guys who take very little ownership. |

Honestly I like to keep faith but this team is closer to continuing the rebuild then contending. Time to consider getting what assets you can for Spezza, Phillips and Neil. Nothing personal against them but their use is declining quickly and are the only members of the "old guard". These guys have given it their all for the franchise and deserve a shot to give a real contender a finishing piece ( On a personal note they are the only members left from the worst 4 years of my playoff life, youuu guys know what I'm talking about....) Perhaps the new leadership of Turris, Ryan (provided he resigns), Macarthur and Karlsson could blossom without these guys around, and the team could improve by subtraction. I would personally like to see that money be used to score a decent top 6 forward and top 4 defence with more speed. |

Oh...So add Sens/Oilers/Jets/Flames to R-sharing??...Trouble coming if thats the case...
R-sharing will only help balance out/ help owners towards surviving.....On ice product will suffer bigtime.. |

If the league is premised on revenue sharing, a decline in revenue would mean a decline in player salaries - right?
Probably goes without saying, if revenue is measured in $US.
So, wouldn't the cap go down? |

Travis Yost: The Shift - Travis Yost
Nash had about 4 seconds to decide where he was gna shoot that: he even had the time to settle the puck down, skate to the bench, grab some g2, skate back and still score...
I don't understand how this team can suck so hard in their own zone.
I don't know what's worse: Smith swimming or Cowen with no stick
**voted for ya Trav ;P |

Keep: MacArthur, Zibanejad, Turris, Ryan, Stone, Conacher in top 9.
Who can we trade? Greening, Spezza, Michalek. Spezza is our C and is likely not going to get us the return we should get. Plus he's exactly what Eugene wants; high cap hit low salary. Michalek should also be retained if he can't be traded for some value. Greening should be traded ASAP.
Greening, Corvo or Gryba, 4th round pick for Hemsky
MacArthur-Turris-Ryan
Michalek-Spezza-Hemsky [Czech wings; redemption?]
Conacher-Zibanejad-Condra
Smith-Pageau-Neil
Cowen-Karlsson
Methot-Ceci [Ottawa Boys]
Phillips-Weircioch [West Boys] |

Kadri, Gleason and Biggs for Spezza? Guy would look good between JVR and Kessel
