I think people are too hung up on his Hab and early Stars days where he was a diving whiner, watching him in Washington and later on in Dallas, he doesn't dive anymore, took a hell of a long time, but he seems to have matured.

I will definitely consider drafting Vrbata in fantasy hockey now because of the Ribeiro signing.

I was surprised to see Morris in a whatever fits type role in your pairings, is he just too old and slow for big minutes now?

Well he's been Yandle's partner for a few years now, so he might still be there next season. Stone has really come on strong though, and at the end of the year he was playing some really good hockey. I'd like to see him get his chance in that top-4, Tippett might not though.

Morris is getting a little on the slow side these days, still a decent defenseman, but his best days are dwindling.

How far out is Gormley and Runblad? You can easily trade Morris, or Klesla for more assets if those guys are ready soon

Gormley probably another year. He had a good rookie campaign, was amazing in the brief 3 game playoffs where they got swept. He'll be getting the top pairing duties next season and with Yandle/OEL/Stone and such ahead of him they can afford to give him time.

Rundblad is trickier. Offensively he's ready as all hell. Physically, he's ready. Is his brain ready for a Tippett coached team? ehhh. He still makes a lot of dumb moves, lots of talent, but can be an idiot out there. With so many offensively strong players ahead of him like Yandle/OEL/Stone etc. and Gormley providing defensive strength as well as offensive ability, you have to wonder if he isn't trade bait at this point.

Thats not a bad position to be in, could potentially just do a hockey trade, young dman for young dman. I dont think the Avs would have anyone to offer to make that work, outside Barrie, Elliott, and Seimens. Runblad is getting into EJ terrioty. Some team will over pay for him just on his potential (eff do I hate how we over paid for him)

I really like the Ribeiro signing and the locking up of Korpi and Stone. Really dont like the Smith contract but I guess they dont thing Vistinen is coming anytime soon. Also one of the few that are glad to see PHX stay.

Agreed! I love Smitty, but at this point i think he is way over payed specially for not have proven himself longer. I am and always been a yotes fan. I really do wish we would pick up at least one more free agent or even trade for a good scoring winger to complement Ribs... Thanks to all whom have supported the yotes. Phx really is a good hockey market, and now hopefully with ownership, management and coaching we can prove that. Not to sure we have a cup contender yet, maybe with the aformentioned winger we could be close. Good luck to all teams this year and see you on the ice! Lets go Co-Yotes!

I couldn't stand Ribiero when he was with Dallas. I hope one of our boys takes his head off. Legally speaking, that is. It is good pick-up the 'Yotes, though; he's always given LA fits.

No idea. As long as he doesn't demand anything over 3.25 mil I'm good with a contract. He needs to prove himself in a full year as a legit two-way top-6 player.

Ya, then he goes to WSH game 2 or 3 or the year and I wanted to hire a hitman to take him out.

Although playing under Tippett again seems like a very good fit.
