I have been saying all along they will match. I feel this will be over by Sunday or Monday morning at latest. Bobby Ryan will be a flyer by Wednesday.

If I'm Poile, I ask for Coburn, he's signed for 4 years & at least a physical player that Weber is in the D zone, asking for Couts or Schenn will not help him now so much
- puckhead17

If Meszy's back appears it can hold up, I wouldn't have a problem moving Coby to ensure Weber will be a Flyer. I would rather deal Coby right now then including Voracek in a deal.

yeah, I agree, strictly from the Preds point of view, they need at least a top D man coming back
They would probably choose Cobie again, as he's already locked up for 4 years

kinda stupid for nashville to make their fan base wait no? would have been better public relations to match and move on

They are working out a trade, strongly believe so, the picks wont help them now

with the amount of money on the line best to take their time and hope more options become available.

Coburn is woth more than a late first rd pick so how do you round out the deal?

they've also said they would spend to the max for a year or 2 past & yadda yadda, if they match, I don't see him staying, a trade is being worked out & will take time to work out. A Lindros type return I don't see happening.

He makes the most sense, he can play 20+ minutes, doesn't have the offensive game of Weber, but has shown the ability to play against first lines. I really believe the Flyers will sign Voracek to a multi-year contract once the Weber situation is resolved one way or the other.

If your Poile what would you expect?
Cots & Schenn are not for sale, neither is G, Voracek is a RFA,
Coburn & another D man maybe (MAB or Gus?) or Mez?

Could simply be a "(frank) You" to the Flyers, keeping them in limbo and preventing them from moving on a possible trade for Ryan or bidding for Shane Doan

well, I've been saying all along that it will take a trade to get weber. we all have our opinions. I don't think I've seen so much collective ambivalence on any subject since I've been posting here.

The Flyers have waited all off season dont think thats an issue. They have no chance at Doan anyways. Ryan isnt going anywhere at this time either.

even if they match & trade, they can only trade with Philly in the first year? (is that right?) So thay can't match & move him someplace else, (don't know where I heard that, TSN?)

Why don;t they have a chance at Doan? He's not closed to coming East, as he's visiting the Rangers tonight. He's never said anything about not being interested in Philly.

They can't trade Weber to anyone if the match they offer for a year. Including the Flyers.
