yes, It might be one of the top 10 movies of all time. No way they end the series like that.
- JoeRussomanno

I agree. While they'd obviously have lost a lot this offseason, if they can get some return for those picks (either from the Flyers or elsewhere) they can still ice a competitive team. Just as their financial doom and gloom situation is probably a tad exaggerated, so too I think would be their on ice product if they don't match. Are they going to be as competitive as they were? No, but they'll still do alright IMO. Other guys would just need to step up
- eayost

Thats the thing right there. People are acting like Nashville doesn't get squat but there's a pretty steep draft coming up, and 1st round picks can reap a helluva good roster player. poop I bet Calgary be willing to take J-bo as you mention. Say what we want about him, but if it weren't for the cap hit I;d be happy to get him. That's just one guy tho.

Hopefully Poile's seen Batman for the third time or however many times he needs to see it and we can get down to "the decision"

only thing I was mad with, and this goes back to the Bane comic book story, Nightfall I believe, dude wears a mask, that has wires coming off it... rip the (frank)ing thing apart and see how well he does. Batman is supposed to be pretty smart, how come it takes getting his back broke to figure this out? Otherwise helluva good movie. Nolan and Bale would be morons to not make more.

I was talking about signing Weber before the arbitration awarded $7.5M. He was making $4.5M and they came in with some low ball offer like $4.8M or something, and said that his comparable player was Yandle. That's what I think was foolish, and that's where I think Poile failed. And I imagine that whole experience is a big part of why he no longer wants to be there (that and of course Suter leaving).

- BringBack25

Your supposed to come in with a low ball offer. That's what going to Arbitration is all about. Arbitration is not a good thing. Egos can be damaged. That's why it should be avoided. And if Poile made the call to take the player to Arbitration in the first place, then that was foolish. But I don't know that.

I admit there is no way I can know that for sure, but it certainly seems like a reasonable assumption. My basic point is simply this: If they truly have the resources to match any offer sheet, then they've misused those resources in a pretty major way to have gotten into this situation. If they have had this money all along then they should have used it to lock up Weber and Suter when they had the chance.

- BringBack25

This is where many miss the point. The Predators have the ability to sign Weber to a 100M deal. What is the issue for them, is the signing bonus money upfront. That's the likely hangup in not getting Weber signed. Weber wants that upfront money.

really that good? Better than Dark Knight?
- aosplayo

I loved Dark night but yea, it was better. THink how much better Dark Knight was to Begins and there you go. Considering I thought at the time Begins was the best comic movie to be made.

I know there was national story when Optimus Prime was killed in the animated movie that a kid barracaded himself in his room for a few days, think they needed a swat team to get him out.

I've not seen the trailers, and my exposure to any previous Bane storylines are minimal (to be exact, I've only seen the Arkham Asylum version).
