I think he really benefited from all the time playing 1C, helped him develop. - maverickJ
He did and he proved that he was the best fit to play there. Connolly had his chance and screwed the pooch. Grabovski is a second line center and there was no-one else that was as good, so he was the best fit. I think JVR will bomb at centre. He's been playing wing for a number of year now and I can't see him learning to play the position, that make a first line centre what it is. |

kessel got 82 pts in 82 games and lupul got hurt... they basically set each other up for the season, bozak was just there ... unlike guys like kessel who can just dominate the game without a proper centerman... bozak is nothing special, i like the goals he scores because he gets those nice goals but meh nothing big. Frattin is nothing big. Stalberg is nothing big. Cant even compare those guys to grabo... - Mapleleafs_91
didn't kessel say he had a wrist injury and that's why he decline to play at the World Championship. |

I mean we are stuck with Connoly most likely, it's a contract year for him so maybe he plays better this year and increases his trade value at the deadline?
Hopeful thought anyways......

I don't think he will succeed there either, but he does already know the position. I don't think he will succeed because he is a scorer by nature not a playmaker which is what we need on that line. I actually wouldn't mind trying Grabvoski on our 1rst line, the reason he wasn't was because of that awesome 2nd line chemistry a couple years back.

Putting 90% of our fire power on one line is a bad idea and will prob end badly

My hopeful thought is for a labour shutdown, back by Christmas, no moves by the Leafs, picking in the top 3 next fall, 30 million in cap space to grab Getzlaf and Perry. |

lol I want to give him a try also.
But that isn't a bad line up, maybe we move MacA for a goalie to open up a spot. |

It's going to end the same way it ended last year. A good start, then a collapse, down the stretch. So hope for a labour dispute, lose the good start, collapse and grab a top 3 pick. |

If Perry has another amazing year and ends top 5 this year he will end up the 140 million dollar man I bet.

In a stoppage we could pick 29th for all we know right? It's a lottery?

JVR has hit 20 if I'm not mistake, Mac too, Bozak got real close. Kulemin hit 30 and Frattin should pot more.
60 goals on your second line is about right I'd say. |

Grab him and Getzlaf and watch the playoff push the next year. Add that top 3 prospect, by tanking, and see where a good goaltender can be had, a year from now. Do not waste assets on Luongo or Bernier! |

yes but if i'm not mistaken we have the best chance at #1, they factor in how many lottery picks and playoff appearences a team made in the past 10 years, |
