Because another team is going to be paying him when he gets traded in a few days - jbold
If he hits 15-20 goals next year, he's easily worth his contract. Should he hit 30 again, he'll be a flat out bargain. Not a bad deal, really, and it avoids any bad blood that may have developed during the arbitration process. |

When about 20% of society regardless of area have mental instabilities and other dysfunctions, having the ability to legally purchase a gun at a gunfair without having a licence makes for an obvious situation. - AdamFrench
Agreed
When I was living down in the States, out of curiosity I attended one of these gunfair's.
I was completely shocked at what was being sold.
semi-automatic's........ and if you had I believe it was called a class 3 license you could buy a fully automatic machine gun at the gunfair |

Don't know where your getting your stats from
As per Reuters news agency
(Reuters) - The United States has 90 guns for every 100 citizens, making it the most heavily armed society in the world, a report released on Tuesday said.
U.S. citizens own 270 million of the world's 875 million known firearms, according to the Small Arms Survey 2007 by the Geneva-based Graduate Institute of International Studies.
About 4.5 million of the 8 million new guns manufactured worldwide each year are purchased in the United States, it said.
"There is roughly one firearm for every seven people worldwide. Without the United States, though, this drops to about one firearm per 10 people," it said.
India had the world's second-largest civilian gun arsenal, with an estimated 46 million firearms outside law enforcement and the military, though this represented just four guns per 100 people there. China, ranked third with 40 million privately held guns, had 3 firearms per 100 people.
Germany, France, Pakistan, Mexico, Brazil and Russia were next in the ranking of country's overall civilian gun arsenals.
On a per-capita basis, Yemen had the second most heavily armed citizenry behind the United States, with 61 guns per 100 people, followed by Finland with 56, Switzerland with 46, Iraq with 39 and Serbia with 38.
France, Canada, Sweden, Austria and Germany were next, each with about 30 guns per 100 people, while many poorer countries often associated with violence ranked much lower. Nigeria, for instance, had just one gun per 100 people.

was in Vegas a few weeks ago. they were having a massive gun fair at one of the convention centres. so a commercial comes on TV. obviously the whitest redneck imaginable promoting the show. promoting it as a family event. he had his arm around 2 kids as he's inviting people to the show. |

There are a few books out there with all the stats.
I saw one at my library and gave it a read it was very interesting.(I can try to find the title if you are interested)
Personally, I'm much happier with our laws up here.
Also happy the long gun registry got scrapped that was the biggest waste of money. |
