I'm all for accountability and questioning what you read or see, but equating JJ or his piece with Fox News Whorehouse is like comparing apples to a freight train.

One is simply the political arm of a political party whos goals justify any means. Facts have no place in the discussion and their target audience is the lowest common denominator. Although you may not agree with JJ I'd challenge you to show he's a sheep in wolves clothing devoid of facts or integrity.

JJ was first on Kane and took some heat for it, but now that opinion is accepted and changed many minds. I'm hoping he leads the charge and shows the admitted "dysfunction" is enabled by the man at the top, ole Rocky Wirtz.

I was tilting that way in Aug, 1996 when JR was traded for that PoS lazyass pinko. Then when EDDIE was sent onward, had the same feeling as you're talking about. Still came back.

And while Tazer is Captain Serious stud-o-matic, JR & EDDIE were pretty damned big in their day too.

50 percent of the teams make the playoffs, making the playoffs doesnt mean you had a good year.

The book is out on the Hawks : Be physical against the Hawks, be excessive with Toews, Kane , Keith , Sharp, the Hawks have no ability to respond. The Hawks are not physical enought to respond to that and the Blackhawks are so terrible on the PP, who cares if we take penalties. You think a team cares if one of their guys has to square off with Bollig ?

Two years ago the Hawks backed into the playoffs and were not ready to compete in games 1 thru 3. Last year the Hawks had a very favorable match up with Phoenix and were exposed big time.

101 points today isnt like 101 points in the 90s. If Im not mistaken the 8th seed has had about 97 points the last few years.

The State of the Blackhawks is very average, at best.

Now if this afternoon if the Hawks introduce Shane Doan at the convention Ill come back here and say Im wrong.

Don't be so sure of what you're saying w/o having some sources to back it up.

JJ is usually dead nuts on with these things. And while he doesn't profess to know all the inner-workings, guys like him, AlC and a couple others have had some comments the last year+ that tells us things are not all that rosey. This includes comments made by departing players like Brouwer and Soupy.

You're right that it may not be that bad. They may be a really good team this season. But as constructed, up and down the lineup, they will be hard pressed to take that roster deep into the playoffs.

I couldn't care less about making the 2nd round or either the 3rd. A successful season for any team is the season in which your last game is a victory. Anything other than that is some degree of fail.
