Good god, you all sound like the team is done and gone. We still have the same players from last year that made the playoffs. The team last year lacked a few things... a good faceoff center besides Toews, physicality, a good PP, and CONSISTENCY. Crawford is a good goalie. We've seen hm be a good goalie, but not consistently. Lets not forget, the Hawks put up a pretty damn good win streak later in the season, and it was done with Toews being injured, but they lacked consistency throughout the season.

Could the team get better? Yes, but we're not going down in flames. All this nonsense about trading Kane or Leddy is ridiculous. It seems like everyone is in panic mode and wants a huge change, then suddenly the team will be amazing. The team has offensive talent in excess. We've got a solid D core. If Bollig plays and Carcillo is healthy, we've got some toughness (Mayers and Brookbank also). We don't need a huge free agent signing. We need a bit more depth at center, some size, and Crawford to be at top form consistently.

Look at how the central division has fallen apart. We have, arguably, the secon put up 50 something shots againmed best team in the division. A team that put up over 100 points last season in a division where 3 other teams were amazing (Nash, Det, StL) and also put up over 100 points.

Everyone needs to calm down and look at what we have. The ship isn't going down, but it does have a couple holes to patch.

Dunno on your question, honestly. I fear that his ego will prevent him from actually listening. I'm a bit of old school on this JJ, listening is a skill. A skill IMHO McD may not have when his ego isn't in check.

You're right, it is sad that it would take a negative response from fans to in theory (but who are we kidding) initiate change. Just more PR spin from McD. But I am glad there is at least a forum for fans to voice their displeasure openly to the suits, because these fans are the people whose money fills the seats.

Honestly I think you should change your AV. I stopped wearing my 2010 Cup hat just after the hawks were dethrowned in 2011. Now we have two one and dones in the playoffs. Also there is more than a couple holes, they are missing the supporting cast. Here If I said I had a car and you cam to see it and only seen an engine, Transmission and a drive train. I would hope you ask me where the rest of the car is. The same logic applies here.
