Scott was under utilized. They brought him in to replace Byfuglien, and he is no Byfuglien. Once he didn't produce they cut him out. I still like him because of his media battle with Bieksa.

I really think that's a coaching decision. I think Q doesn't want his players taking dumb penalties, to the point where he will reduce ice time to players who do. That's why Bickell, Stalberg, Scott, and many others were not able to perform their role. I think if you fired the coaching staff and brought in better coaches this team would be a lot better.

I'd really like the Hawks to trade for Ryan Getzlaf. I've heard there are offers on the table for him. How completely bad is this idea, since my other ones are obvious garbage?

He was pretty close in the running for king of stupid penalties though. That however is not the coaching staffs fault. Taking a dumb hooking or tripping is different than beating the crap out of someone because they went after one of your teammates.

IMO not bad however a bigger need is goalie and bottom 6 sandpaper. I do like Getzlaf.........I wouldnt hold my breath for this to happen.

Another day at the range an saw Anahem snagged another of the players I hoped Stan would sign. Winnik to ANA on 2 year deal per twitter alert text I received.

thats what his agent said the other day but the clock is ticking on Phoenix/Glendale. Training camp is like what a month and a half away? He has to do something soon......pending NHLPA and NHL can get a deal done or agree to extend the current/old CBA a year.

I haven't been holding my breath for anything to happen this summer. Getzlaf would be a great fit for the 2C. He's also a bigger guy who can throw the body around. I'm not sure what the Ducks would want for him. Probably something pretty prospect/pick heavy.
