It was probably the Rangers since they've been trying to figure out the right deal for awhile. Its to the point where they should just offer Stepan, Dubinsky, Miller,1st and say final offer take it or leave it. Hate to lose Stepan but they could figure it out with a FA like Hecht or Langkow for a year and then go after Getzlaf or maybe Stastny next year.

That deal doesnt help the Ducks. But a Nash package for a Bobby Ryan package could go for both sides.

You're right, he is a big player...a game changer type player but the Jackets have to be realistic. Bobby Ryan + is worth exploring. Hopefully they consider that type of offer.

I don't know if it was ever true but that rumored deal of Dubi, Anisimov, Del Zotto, and one of their decent prospects (forgot which) sounded pretty freakin' good to me. The other I heard was Pavelski, Clowe, and Vlasic but that couldn't be right.

I'm not sure what makes Howson more retarded: passing up on one of those offers or thinking he can somehow patch it up with Nash after this whole circus.
