It's a league of "haves" and "have nots." Something's got to give to resolve the CBA.

Everyone has the ability to spend to the salary cap, if you choose not to because of the market you're in...that can't be fixed unless they revenue share.

"these types of contracts" are what made it possible for the penguins not to lose crosby...... think about that for a minute.

Quick question, could the Predators match the offer sheet and then trade Shea if he does not want to stay in Nashville?

DD said it's either going to be 4 first round picks or 2 first rounders, 1 second rounder and a third rounder.

Yes they could. But you have to imagine no other team wants to touch a 14 yr contract.

I think it'd be a year later. But I could be thinking about some other thing.

I just hope this offer sheet gets this stagnant free agency/trade market moving.

penguins werent going to lose crosby. he wanted to stay in pittsburgh and the penguins would have given him whatever he wanted. he is a guy who wants to win. he easily could have asked for the 14 million max and the penguins would have given it to him.

malkin will be interesting next offseason...

then's what's the problem. if you don't have a problem with crosby's deal, you shouldn't be com[lain about the offer sheet that weber just signed.

They would have to wait a year, you can't trade a player within a year of signing an offer sheet.

this will be a VERY interesting week. No idea what Nashville will do. Could go either way and im hoping they match... if they don't, Penguins will make a panic move or two... Flyers still have Bryz so life will go on...
