The amount of security at these events has increased exponentially over the years. When I was right around 21, you would see a few guys patrolling the parking lots. Now you can hardly move out from behind your car without having to worry about getting run over by security on golf carts. They're everywhere.

true dat plus with it not being at lasalle anymore what else do they have to do out there but bust kids its like lewiston with art park and peopel get all upset that there are dui check points on every corner

I'm guessing it more has to do with heavier crackdowns with the amount of alcohol related tragedies over the past year (i.e. Dr. Corasanti, etc.) than kids being worse at getting away with it. In the past, often times, authorities would look the other way because it wasn't worth the paperwork. However, now, there's an emphasis on it.

Usually when I go to a concert at Darien Lake I'll have a few beers in the lot and then I don't drink once I get into the actual concert. This way I know I'm completely sober when I leave. No worries about checkpoints then.

I think you nailed it. There was park security, event security, local cops, county sherriffs and state troopers everywhere Monday night at Darien. I went from my tailgate to my driver's seat and back and there was a cop waiting for me when I got there. He wanted to count my beers and see what else was in there. Crazy...

They knew they'd find lots of people doing that yesterday with the type of show it was. It's not exactly easy to hide. The smell alone gives you away.

used to get into that arguement all the time when i lived in cincy. Id say so its not entrapment but if I see you and drive the other way its evading pisses me off.

whats your take on Elliotte Freidman's story today saying hes heard the Sabres were one of the teams offering 100 plus mil to both Parise and Suter.

Makes me really think if the Sabres werent the mystery team with Doan and the big money deal, that they certainly likely have a higher bid out there then most of the other 6-7 competitors

it is more on the security.. i don't know how many times i had security just walk by without doing anything.. as long as you weren't rowdy or breaking something they didn't care..
