so that's the actual one you have is the tom-tom? was looking at Garmins and Magellans.

It's not bad, but it can be a pain in the ass. Mine consistently sends me on weird ways that add time to the trip. Also the model I have makes it a pain in the ass to change the route unless you pull over.
