Can you phanetically spell out how it should sound?

Right now it's:

Let's-Go- Fly-Ers... da, da, da-da, da

- RooNosHockey

Then: LET'S GO flyERS
Now: LET'S go FLYers

phanetically - pun intened? sorry.

The best I can describe it (relative to the above) is:
LET'S-go- FLY-ers... da, da, da-da, da
less emphasis on go and ers. Equal emphasis is basically the Rangers' chant which is why it drives older fans crazy.

I went to a game at the spectrum during a 12 inch snow storm against the LA Kings and they cancelled the game after the first period because a window blew out..that was pretty cool, 4,000 fans showed up and the conditions were so bad that the kings players were hitchen rides to their hotel..Luke Robitaille got a ride from a friend of mine

Actually, I do enjoy walking in snow storms, I'll go out of my way to walk if there's a blizzard. Can't hear anything but the low, low roar of the storm in the distance.

That said, I prefer the hot weather.

i;m actually stumped for a video find. Was gonna embed one of those scenes where someone offers a ride then as the person goes to get in they pull away then stop and let him get close then pull away again. Was my favorite thing to do to my friends, and them to me

it was so cool...all the kings players were asking flyer fans for rides, could you see the rangers or penguins players doing that?

I don't think you'll ever see it again, from any pro player. It's a different day and age.

On the ice they are the enemy. Unless they get hurt. Then they're human again until they feel better. Then they're the enemy.

You know there's a game going on out there, don't ya?

That's not directed at you personally. This fanbase always finds something to complain about.

It is something that differentiated the fans from other fans. It was something the Toronto press used to find "cool" about the Flyers fans. And it is a sign that there has been a complete turnover in the fan base. It's as if the uniform changed and no one remembered them wearing orange and black.

Comcast-Spectacor was formed in 1996 when Ed Snider sold 66 percent of Spectacor sports holdings to Philadelphia-based cable broadcaster Comcast but retained control of the operation as chairman.

Looks like the Flyers are going to go into the season with this current group. Hopefully all the young kids can step up.
