you're just being a little female dog now lol.

hagelin is the fastest skater in the nhl. fact.

therefore, hagelin is faster than hall. fact.

i showed you the first 3 sources on google that ALL stated kreider is faster than hagelin. i could find 20 more if i had the time.

how about this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfFZOQWkawY

at the END of his 40 second shift, kreider takes like 3 or 4 strides and is through the neutral zone and almost at the top of the circles.... IN JUST 3 OR 4 STRIDES. WHILE HE'S TIRED.

show me more proof of hall being faster than kreider because i think i've shown enough evidence to back my claim.

you haven't shown me anything. it's your turn buddy.

Its rumoured Hall is faster..

i'm saying he's faster than hall and probably faster than hagelin so he's probably the fastest in the nhl.

there's no way to prove it and at one point the little bit of difference in speed betwene the fastest skaters doesn't really matter but kreider is definately up there.

Carl Hagelin (12.963)
http://www.cbc.ca/sports/...kills/fastest-skater.html

Taylor Hall (13.97)

Hagelin is faster than Hall... We have have no way to figure out how quick Kreider is but it would be safe to assume he's in the same range.

fair enough

at that point... it doesn't really matter. the difference in speed is so minimal.

Edmonton better sweeten the pot. I mean you would have to pay extra for Columbus to take bums like RNH, Eberle and Hall.

How about something like this?
McDonough and Kreider
Hall, N. Schultz ++
N. Schultz fills in the whole left by McDonough in NYR and McDonough pairs up with newbie J. Schultz to help stabilize his transition to the NHL game. If Hall- our only legitimate top-6 natural LW- gets shipped out, another top-6 LW has to be coming back. I would've suggested Hagelin, but I feel that he's already built significant bond with his linemates and has developed a trust with Torts. Kreider is essentially exactly what our top line needs going forward. A big, fast, power forward scorer to complement Nuge and Eberle. Hall is a lot of what Torts loves. He's a fast, determined scorer who absolutely hates losing. He'll do almost anything to win and, for that, I feel he'd become one of Torts' favourites. The ++ could be anywhere from our 2014 1st to a current roster player. You decide.

Depending on the plus, id do this trade.

it really depends on the ++.

mcdonagh could honestly be traded for any one of your superkids in a 1 for 1 trade and it would be fair to be honest. losing him for n. schultz would be a HUGE hit for our defense.

then losing kreider for hall is a solid upgrade in offense but i'm not sure if it's enough to warrant losing McD. i expect kreider to be a 25-35 goal scorer and hall a 30-50 goal scorer so it's a decent upgrade but i don't think those extra 10ish goals warrants giving up the future best defenseman in the NHL.

it depends on that ++.

Amazing how overrated a player can get with one good year..

You're joking right?

1. Kreider:A big, fast, power forward scorer to complement Nuge and Eberle. - yet that's what Hall is...

- BigDre

Big? I wouldn't call Hall big. Kreider is 6'3" 220lbs.

2. This trade doesn't address the Oilers needs this year

3. McD had one good year...

- BigDre

Firstly, he's had 1.5 great years. Second, by that definition, so too has Hall. It's not like Hall is an absolute superstar as of yet. I'm almost certain he will become that, but I'm also sure that McD IS already a top pairing Dman whose ceiling has yet to be reached.

5. None of the fantastic four will be moved for at least a few years

- BigDre

Of course they won't. This is just the kind of talk that occurs during a slow offseason where the Oilers are more static than usual. I'm stoked to see how well Hall plays with his bum shoulder fixed

Yakupov 0 good years
RNH 1 good year
Hall 1.5 good years
McD 1.5 good years
Eberle 2 good years

Amazing how much we Oilers fans seem to overrate our own players. By the way, that "one good year" saw him playing over 25 minutes per night on most nights. Compare that to Hall's sheltered, second line-ish minutes, and you should begin to see a discrepancy. If we want a top pairing Dman, it will cost us.

Big difference between a 1st overall living up to expectations and having 1.5 great years by age 20 than a 12th overall pick who has exceeded expectations having 1.5 great years by age 23.
