Actually, that "quick peak", illustrated a truth that's been known since way before any of us were born: stats can be skewed...very easily.

Stats are an analysis of performance. The only thing you cant measure in statistics are unquantifiable things like work ethic, skating skills, stick handling skills, leadership.

Why do you think Shane Doan is sought after the most? Because of his quantifiable stats or his unquantifiable characteristics?

No one would claim TJ Brennan, Derek Roy had no trade value, Andrej Sekera has no market, Tyler Myers is a bust, Ryan Miller is an average goalie playing on a strong defensive team, yet all of our defensman suck anyways. Tyler Ennis is over rated according to some people on here. It's really getting out of hand.

this is true, but its still possible to look at the same stats and come to 2 different conclusions.
for instance: one could look at millers stats and say
1) miller sucks
2) buffalos d sucks.
and bot arguments have been made and supported using the same stats.

Which is my point exaclty on Sekera. His stats may be ok, but he isn't being fawned over because of the intangibles.
