this is true, but its still possible to look at the same stats and come to 2 different conclusions.
for instance: one could look at millers stats and say
1) miller sucks
2) buffalos d sucks.
and bot arguments have been made and supported using the same stats.

1)Jonathon Quick is a top 3 goalie
2) LA are a great defensive team, and were top 3 in the NHL in least amount of shots allowed

I feel like the future of Hockey Analysis will be kindergarten report cards. A - F letter grading with "other comments" including 'plays well with others..'
Which is my point exaclty on Sekera. His stats may be ok, but he isn't being fawned over because of the intangibles. - Homer
A young defenseman like Sekera isnt going to be sought after for his intangibles. You dont necessarily look at a second pairing defenseman for that kind of stuff.
Was Shane Doan at 26 years old as valuable for his unquantifiable characteristics as he is now? Absolutely not.

Im speaking more to the fact at how hypocritical we tend to be. Roy and Sekera have no trade value yet in every trade proposed by somebody on here both of them are included.In some peoples opinion, Defense wasnt our biggest problem last year goaltending was, yet all of our D-men suck and are busts, see where im going with this?

I flipped when they played Wasted Years. I mean, I'm only 23 going on 24, so I grew up on Fear of the Dark. But when you're a Maiden fan, you listen to it all. My first time seeing them was 2 years ago in Toronto when their new album came out. Amazing show then; Amazing show yesterday. ughhhh can't wait till the next time I see them!

I think there's a bit of an overreaction on your part.
Not picking a fight, just sayin'.
I think this fan base is very intelligent for the most part, and most of us are realists. Obviously, there are 25 good hockey players on our roster right now. We only want the best, however, and that's because we're all sick of being fans of teams from a so-called "losing sports city".

I'm going to be 41, and grew up on Piece of Mind and Powerslave. People who don't follow heavy music ask me "they're still around?!?" I just laugh. Yes, they're still around, still putting out vital and fresh sounding albums, and can usually wipe the stage with musicians half their age.
Steve Harris is the reason I started playing bass. I would drive my mother crazy, because I would just sit in my room, and play along to nothing but Maiden. I would prop my leg up on my amp (like he does on the stage monitors) and just rip along.
Great band, and I would go anywhere to see them. I went to Toronto by myself during their "Somewhere back in Time" tour, because I couldn't find anyone to go with.

Hmfph.....no Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner or Die with your boots on ?
3-4 more AHL seasons and brennen will be ready to go full time in the ECHL. I go to many Amerks games, TJ is a good player but nothing special like most of the other so called "prospects". Last years Amerks team was crap, no skill at all, at least this year they will actually have some good skilled forwards.
