In 4 different drafts. And most likely, bottom of the 1st round picks.
You take that, or 14 years of Shea Weber playing the opposing team top lines in all situations for 26-27 minutes per game? |

Could be argued that Weber was a late pick himself and that getting an additional first round pick 4 years straight is definitely an advantage for the preds. Gives them a lot of room for trades too.
I mean just think about it, two first round picks per year every year for four years. They're bound to pick a couple NHL players with so many 1st rd picks and chances are one of them will be on Weber's level. |

I can't wrap my (frank)in head around the contradiction if this asinine post.
You said "You take that...meaning bottom of the 1st round picks... OR 14 years of Shea Weber playing the opposing team top lines in all situations for 26-27 minutes per game?!" actually makes no (frank)ing sense.
If they were to take aforementioned bottom of the 1st round picks, they would ALSO have to take 14 years of Shea Weber playing the opposing team top lines in all situations for 26-27 minutes per game.
Ergo, your insightful and well thought-out post should have read "You take that, AND 14 years of Shea Weber playing the opposing team top lines in all situations for 26-27 minutes per game?".
Thank you for playing, now please GTFO and STFU... promptly.

K in all seriousnessness, I realize most of you (frank)ers are higher then a mother(frank)er on Mr.Gaylenchukney, so we will ignore him.
The flyers replace Pronger with Weber, so it is save to say the flyers will finish anywhere between 20 and 30 in each of the next 4 years, so lets say 25.
Looking at the last 4 years ( not including this years draft) the 25th overall has been as follows.
Stuart Percy
Quinton Howden
Jordon Caron
Greg Nemisz

Pretty sure he can. However a chance at 8 1st round picks in 4 years is (frank)ing staggering, you have to believe you can at least draft well enough to make it worth it, even the habs as badly as they have drafted in the past in the 1st round, couldnt (frank) that up. Also Philly's 1st rounders may be low 1st rounders, but i doubt nashville's are without Weber and Suter and (frank) all for offense. |

nope. i was just saying i would take our top 4 this year over Weber, but Galchenyuk makes that deal. but i think our top 4 draft slots this year are worth more than 4 25th overalls, again, mainly because of the value of that #3 pick/Galchenyuk. |

Yes so exclude mr chukney as the Preds are not going to get a top 5 pick from the flyers. |

Your only hope is how the deal is structured with the bonuses and whether or not the Preds Owner feels he can pay that poop out. |

I do not believe he factored in where Nashville will be picking without Suter and Weber. This will be huge as well. |

maybe but my point was that he hasn't proven it. he's anchored a D with another #1 guy and played in front of one of the game's best goalies and the Preds still dont do poop in the playoffs. i think in Philly he can be the missing piece but Nashville, even with him, is far, far away from a Cup because if you look at past Cup winners/partcipants, the one common thread is staggering offensive depth. so i think from a hockey satandpoint, Nashville should walk away and take those picks.

They could end up picking near the bottom even with Weber, so it doesn't matter |
