The late 1sts the Preds will get for him aren't worth him by any stretch. So much for the rockin' music filled bestest barn in the game.

the one thing they do have is the fact that they drafted weber in the 2nd round so if they can make use of the eight 1st round picks they would have over the next four years, they could turn out even stronger than before

they can become contenders again if they play their cards right but they won't be able to do it quickly which could kill them financially if people start losing interest

I don't think them drafting him outside of the 1st round is gonna help them sleep at night. That poop doesn't happen but once every 10 years. The fans have to be pissed. The way they were saying they had the money to sign Suter, Weber and Rinne. Now all they have is Rinne. I wonder what Rinne is thinking of losing those 2 gems.

its a huge short term blow to the franchise but if they can stay afloat for another four or five years, they could be back and stronger than ever

the hard part is staying afloat and thats the reason why they would struggle to pay weber 68 million dollars in 6 years and 110 million dollars total

but who are we kidding, the nhl would prop them up if they needed it

Because he's the hero Nashville deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An anonymous blogger.

The Bruins are reportedly out of the Rick Nash/Bobby Ryan sweepstakes.

“The teams have had “exploratory” talks regarding Ryan, according to a source close to the situation, but Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli has made it known that Krejci and Milan Lucic (also mentioned in recent trade rumors) are not available.

“This source also indicated that the Bruins, who are on a list of teams that Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash would approve a trade to, have dropped out of the sweepstakes for Nash. There have been reports that the asking price for Nash from the Bruins was any combination of Krejci, Lucic, Tyler Seguin and prized prospect Dougie Hamilton. “
