Eller's last season was pretty good with all all proportions kept (15th in the east like). He's shown progress both defensively and offensively...

and he scored 4 goals in 1 game.

Semin sucks because he played with Ovechkin and Backstrom.

I never said DD sucked but PLeks played well on that line as well.
If it comes down to which C to keep I'd rather try a BIG C on that line

Why not keep the small C with the Big Towers and play that BIG C with the remaining small wingers ?

Hmmm...

So if Eller doesn't produce with Moen and Bourque, it's OK, he's got more potential and should play with better wingers...

But Desharnais needs to produce with Bourque and Moen in order to prove he's a legit 2nd line center?

Makes a whole lot of (frank)ing sense to me!

So if you have to choose 2 out of the following in 2-3 years
AlexG
Eller
Pleks
DD

If we can finally have 2 big C in the top 6 why wouldn't we.
I am not taking anything away from PLeks or DD but neither one of those is a 3rd liner

Look I like Eller, he seems like a nice guy and all.

But saying that "He's a big C" is stretch.

He's tall, but he's soft as butter.

Close but no cigar
I'd like to see Eller play with decent linemates as he is bigger and actually shoots.
I am just curious to know if DD is a product of his linemates or if he makes his linemates better.

If they both produce on the 1st and both suck on the 3rd who do you put on the 1st?

You want to take the chance with Eller? I don't think he's ready.

As for DD, he does make his linemates better.
