Apparently Scuderi was the reason LA won the cup! - As_I_See_It
A big part of the kings D. Just like mitchell. Not flashy, but gets the job done.

The fact that they've broken more trades than Armstrong has bones... - lumlums
Whatever. I guess I'm just not that enthralled by a bunch of talking heads racing each other to break stories 30 seconds before each other (and 3 minutes before it becomes public knowledge via press conference).
By the time they "break" a story, it's basically just leaked to them from the organization. They're glorified megaphones acting on behalf of the GMs. |

Doesn't look like Vancouver fans like the idea of the Leafs pursuing Bernier instead of Luongo.

LA isnt taking 9 million back....Please stop with the nonsense. LA will use that money for a FA when the time comes or signing prospects it wont be used for throw away players like Komi and Connolly

patrick roy and ken dryden were inexperienced as well..... - Barx
Neither played behind a team with such a sorely lacking defensive system.

The point is that LA has a better defensive system. Doughty got himself a Norris nomination as a finalist, so he must be doing something right. The kid is a stud. - Leeman4Gilmour
While he hasn't proven any more than Reimer, and to a degree, Scrivens, Bernier has the pedigree. He's been a coveted asset since before he was in the NHL.

What has gardiner won??
- Deadmau55
Lol I'm comparing player to player not team to team. I sure that scuderi was a real impact player in the playoffs So your telling me you wouldn't trade gardiner for scuderi straight up? |

I like when they all congratulate each other after their "Frenzy" show. Reminds me of Trading Places when the Dukes are slapping each other on the back after cleaning up on pork bellies. |

I am going to really confuse you here.
Go with Bernier, I think it'll really work out! Get enough goalies with supposedly high potential and one will be sure to eventually work out... Probably. |

Personally, I find those two insufferable. I know I'm in the minority here.
Who died and made them the Hockey Pope? - Leeman4Gilmour
Nah, the hockey Pope is Monsignor Burke! The is the Vatican of Hockey, remember?
As for Bernier, remember that two springs ago, Nonis was the GM of team Canada in the World Championsips. Nonis' team began the tournament with Reimer in net. When the LA Kings were later eliminated, Bernier was parachuted in and he took the net from Reimer.
Not sure what the Kings are like prospect wise in net. Either Reimer or Scrivens could be moved as part of the deal. Personally, I think its a sideways move and not the way Burke should go. |

I will say though, that more then likely, gardiner will be a better player then scuds. But even then, the comparison isn't fair, because scuds is a stay at home D, and gardiner is more offensive if im correct.

just making a point, it's ridiculous to write a goalie off because they are 'inexperienced'.
I have no problem with 'inexperienced' goaltending, I have a problem with 'horrific' goaltending.
theres a difference. - Barx
Similar numbers behind one of the top defensive systems in the league. He'll be as "horrific" as Reimer if we have the same defensive play as last year. |
