I think goalies earn their position the way reimer and Schneider earned it, or Hiller, or Holtby.. or Halak. It's pretty rare a promising goalie gets his big chance by starting with another team and then succeeds. Case in point, Raycroft and Toskala were very very good goaltenders when we traded for them.
