Better then what we have now? Yup.

Liles is a better player than Hamonic at this point.

I do like the potential. We'll have even more young D.
The younger the D... the better the goalie we need. Lu?

i guess i understand that a 35 year old goalie may not appeal. From my point of view having watched how good he is all these years, I think any team would be fortunate to have him.

2013 could be the best draft since 2003. It could also have a few high end guys and then be very average.

Now that I've made friends with everyone again, I have to go to my work and file some BS paperwork for an injury ive been healed from for two weeks but for some reason they are trying to keep me on modified duty for another week.

Did you hit on the bridal party like I told you to?

If not, you are not my friend.

phew...good I think they're too sexy to be worried

But you think just Krejci could land Nash? I'm skeptical about that

Krejci + Caron/Knight/Spooner + ?

- celata29

Well if Horton wasn't a vegetable you could trade him.

Thats not the point, whats your 2nd pairing gonna be? Liles - Gardiner? Whos clearing the net? You wanna be hemmed in our own zone for over a minute?

After trading our only real stay-at-home dman we need another one, Hamonic is perfect and would let Gardiner be more free to rush the puck up and pinch. And Hamonic's age also goes with the direction of our team.

Huh didn't think of the Subban possibility. I know he is a first round goalie, but I would figure a team would want to see him progress a little before trading for him, even if it is in the OHL or wherever.

Very interesting though. I think I would be ok with that.

Phanuef Gunner
Liles Komi
Gardiner Franson
???

I bit more experience.

I would do the trade though.. I like the potential... he was a plus player for NYI - that's impressive... but so was Schenn.

well I came up with this trade because I believe in building a cup winning team rather than trying to contend for a playoff spot. Burke also believes in building a team from the net out.

Considering the age of our players, having Bernier/Reimer and then Hamonic/Gardiner/Rielly/Blacker/Holzer/Percy looks very good for the future.

- Atomic Wedgie

Not them. Asides from the bride herself none of them were hot and one of them was a flat out water buffalo, and had a Snooki-esque fake tan and was way too fond of blue eye shadow. It was really awful to look at.

If you were to ask me if I retired to the men's room with a rather sightly wedding guest in a short skirt...

I'm a fairly despicable human being, but still a good guy. I'm a walking contradiction.

Is more experience now, but making the trade will make our D even better for the future, ya playoffs would be nice next year, but having constant playoff births in the future is even nicer

I think he's going a good job.

I'm a bit sick of his soap box bs and not doing cap circumvented deals because of his "moral" attitude... while he's cheating on his wife... again.

I don't see NYI doing it.

Hamonic a 2nd rounder is performing well... why do it for another puck moving small older defenseman which they already have and another 2nd rounder?

Hey Bix:

What's up with Barolo all of a sudden becoming semi-affordable?

LCBO now stocks a few under $40.

Should I stock up?

And then drink up, of course. Wedgie doesn't cellar wine for too long.

And by "too long", I mean two months.

I'm gonna give up my source? Not likely. Take it for what its worth, which is less than nothing. I'm just saying. Wait and see then maybe next time you might believe me. Or not.

liles was a 2nd rounder.

does it make sense to move liles and a 2nd pick for Hamonic? i dunno bout that.

liles is our vet D man, and before his concussion he damn well may have been our best D man.

he can move the puck but hes also good at D.

- big_dion

Liles is 32 years old and signed to 4M cap hit. (or something like that).

If you haven't seen Hamonic, think of the "human eraser" with offensive upside. The Isles got a steal with him in the 2nd round.
