Man, I am late to the party today. I wouldn't mind Bernier, he's not "the solution" but he's still an improvement. It might even just be a bluff on the Luongo side to get Gillis thinking that maybe the Leafs don't "need" Luongo as much as he thinks. They really don't need him at all, but this shows that his asking price is too high and that they are happy enough going with Reimer/Bernier if Gillis doesn't bring the price for Luongo down.
