I wouldn't mind a Bernier/Reimer tandem. Play the hot goalie until one of them truly shows they are the number 1.

But an ugly year for Reimer coming back from a mid-long term injury still gave us .900 goaltending. Behind a much better defense, Bernier posted a .909 sv%.

How much do you pay to upgrade .009 points in goal? I'm also assuming the very best case for Bernier over Reimer - that Bernier's numbers would not suffer a bit in Toronto, and that Reimer will not bounce back one bit.

To be honest, i wouldnt do it, not because its not fair value-wise because i think it is, its just that we already have our own unproven young goalie and Frattin is a workhouse with a very good shot, he's physical and defensively responsible, a perfect player for Carlyle. But thats a good hockey proposal.

Fair enough. I like Frattin because he's gritty and he fills our 3rd line RW hole perfectly (better than Trevor Lewis). It's nice to have an expendable blue-chip prospect like Bernier to be able to dangle in front of other teams.

Whether you like them or not, they seem to be the only 2 "insiders" whose reports are consistently accurate. There is no question that they have legitimate sources.

I don't know your age, but when i was younger there were no guns pulled, the odd knife, but you were always considered to be a coward if you couldn't fight with your hands to settle a dispute. We never feared guns, just the guy that could beat you to a pulp.

I can't believe how St. Louis stole that trade. Halak had just come off a miracle run, too.

In fairness, there's no guarantee the Habs would have traded him within the division. In fact, they likely ruled that out right away.
