He hasn't proven he can play in the NHL any better than what the Leafs currently have. To be 23, a backup, and 0.909% career Sv% is nothing but sub-average. Reimer has better numbers, over a longer sample size at the same age, and he's considered a huge question mark for us.

the other things that worries be about Bernier is that his #'s are so similar to Reimers and Bernier plays on a much more defensive LA team, where as Reimer had Ron Wilson, Reimers #'s were also lowered because of last years struggles and the concussion like symptoms.

I would like a Reimer/Bernier tandem, but i wouldnt want to pay more than Srivs and a 2nd or something.

He has had ZERO help. and he still has been to the playoffs once.... Put him on atleast a team with other good players, and Nash would show how good he really is
