Yes my point was Toews is maxed out I believe. Johnny has potential to become the best player in the league. Imagine what he can do with a guy like Ryan on his line with Matty Moulson. I just hope the baby doesn't slow down Matt this year like it did for Grabs.

I'd definitely take Tavares. Toews is an excellent player and a good kid, but Tavares is an elite talent. I don't ever expect Toews to lead the league in points but Tavares could do it multiple times over the next several years.

Truth is, Grabner sucks. Hes got hands like feet.

As for the Tavares question........he's got the talent, the attitude, and the work ethic of a winner. The sky is the limit with him. But, Toews is also a special player.....

The one thing Tavares is lacking, is he needs to improve his shot. Id like him to snipe more in close....

Are you doubting that Martin will be? The Isles gave a QO to Moulson too. Personally, I think Martin's a good tough kid but he's certainly nothing special and I don't know that I believe he's a must have for the franchise's future. He has little to no offensive skills. He's a big body who can hit. There's a lot of guys who can do that. That said, I have little doubt that the Isles will extend him and he'll be very happy with the result.

Washington must have really hated Mike Green too. He turned down their QO and just re-signed a great deal for both sides.

Good posting.... Although don't be surprised if the Islanders stay stale with all player movement until the pending CBA is resolved. The Owner does not want to commit to funds he does not have; and if they can benefit from others "trash" like they have done in the past....
On the Brooklyn front - if there is one thing Charles does not want to do is move the team. That means to Brooklyn or Queens or Quebec or even Suffolk, hence his decision to be quiet on this matter because he has run out of options and it could be a last option. However If team is in Brooklyn he will not be the owner any more!

For a late 5th round draft pick, im pretty content with his play for what 10 min of ice a game. He's not the average banger......he has some skill.....no much but some. Come playoff time, guys like Matt Martin are huge
