I don't know...he pulled away pretty quickly on those slap shot goals from the right wing.

Against Thomas, Howard and I think I'm missing one.

- Mattjd123

Two were against Howard, the first one went in just after the buzzer. Ok, maybe he's quick, but he's not fast. Training with Roberts will help that though, skating around with a parachute tied to your back until you puke.

that was pretty much the issue with him in buffalo. But now we cleared some spaces for a couple rookies. We will see what happens . so far i like this team even is we don't sign Doan. (would really like it better if he signs)

Didn't Buffalo draft two big centres in the first round this year? In a couple years you will be stacked down the middle.

Yeah .. Sucks to be us . How many 1st round picks have flopped over the years. We have had our share.

Kruikov, novotny, zagrapan

...add Primeau and Rasmussen to the pile of 1st round center busts. Heisten and Persson just brutal picks as well.

Zags never got the shot .

I watched him and Gagula skate circles around the D in a scrimmage at the HSBC. and they had mad skills. Not sure how they would hold up in a full game . but i wish they had a shot

I hope he plays well for the Sabres, I know he's probably happier out there so maybe that'll show on the ice.

I wonder why they never gave him a chance. I know he couldn't grasp the language.

So your gonna go get Doan and pay him 7 1/2" Million a year. But then your gonna burry him on the 3rd line playing with a rookie and a banger who scores 10 goals a year?

Glad your not the coach...... or GM....

I predict a 15-20 goal year for Cody.

I'll say 15 is reasoinable. But I see him as more of a set up guy. Im looking at 30-35 assists for him.

If he's playing with Pominville and Vanek, I think he'll exceed that. It would almost be hard not to. They actually made Luke Adam look like a decent player.

LOL... Hodgson is supposed to be our #1 center?

He didn't even dominate rookie camp, much less assert himself after the "Kassian/Hodgson" trade... What has this guy ever done to earn himself as a top line center role?

He11, Ennis (who looks like a little Danny Briere out there) had almost as many points in almost half as many games last season!

If Buffalo is going to stack their 1st line with their best two wingers, they'd better be thinking about putting their best center (Ennis) in between them, to maxamize the efforts!!!

Wake the F' up!!!

If you Sabres fans are interested in CoHo from a metrics point of view here's a good article by the bloggers Pass It To Bulis. Ultimately, Cody's a player with great vision and offensive instincts, but his back checking and skating? Kassian could be a total bust, but things must have gone very far south for Gillis to trade for him.

I'm more interested in him from a next season standpoint.

A rookie that needs to work on the defensive side of his game? Heaven forfend!

Did he just suffer under unreasonable expectations there?
