There are banners on the USHL arena of Erik Cole and Scott Clemenson...

a former player of that USHL team Trevor Lewis (i believe is his name) played for LA this past year and scored 2 goals in the clinching game.. this newspaper had its own full page fold out picture of him.

Right now Anze Kopitar's little brother plays for them and that is just the biggest thing in the world here...

I am an advocate of what you said.. I think Hodge is our 1C right now.. but I would be welcome to an upgrade over him for 1-2 years tops until he is more proven.

If we rolled 3 scoring lines with ??, Ennis, and Hodgeson centering those for a year just so we can see what a full year of Hodgeson in Ruff's system looks like I would be in heaven.

I think Hodge between Vanek and Pommer is a 20/35 type player.

I think he justs gives everyone a reality check when the conversation gets carried away. I mean it's cool to imagine possibilties, but the probability is that none of them will ever happen with the way the Sabres currently operate.

Hodgson with Vanek and Doan or Pominville?
Ennis with Stafford and Doan or Pominville?
? with Leino and Foligno/Ott?
McCormick with Kaleta and Gerbe/Foligno/Ott?

I think Pominville stays on first line. I think Doan is the winger on the 2nd line. I dont care how many people say Ott is not a Center, in this scenario he centers Leino and Foligno. Gerbe, McCormick, Kaleta on the 4th line.

If we sign Doan, could you see a Vanek for Stastny swap?

Are we holding out on Grigorenko/Girgensons to Center that 3rd line?

You're drawing a pretty arbitrary line between calling someone names and insulting them.

It appears you're merely trying to put yourself in the "right" by making this distinction, which is fairly normal. Most people are reluctant to see the gray area in what they do.

Regardless, given the context of when you typically say that, I think most would find it mildly insulting.

But it's not even that big of a deal. You're making it a big deal by drawing attention the perceived distinction between what you say and what is "insulting".
