I dont think the rumor of 30 million for 4 years is what the Sabres offered. I have a feeling it is 2 years 12.5 million, as Pittsburg could only offer him 6 mil per year and the Yotes are a cash to the cap team can only offer him 5 mil.

I think it would have to be one or the other... and with the addition of a winger in Doan... i think Stasnty would be the choice especially if we can trade a Forward for a center.

I don't think a lot of people on here would go crazy for this choice because he is not a Getzlaf/Crosby/Stamkos type 1C but he is very good one.

Even without Stastny I think Doan bumps Pommer to a new line.

Foligno - Ennis - Stafford
Ott - Leino - Pominville

Not 3rd line.. just 3 rotating lines..

Ott will take a majority of the draws.. Leino will take maybe 400 in the year just to get good at it.. and Leino and Ott trade winger/center after the drop of the puck.. Pomme ris the only guy that Leino found 1% of chemistry with.

We have almost 11mil in space. Do the math.

i dont know whether or not he really said it, but even if he did it could just as easily be for leverage against the teams doan actually wants to play for. hope he is conciderig buff though

now that would be quite an upgrade. as long as it doesnt take too long to gel. thats a lot of turnover in one offseason

it may not be 30mil, but i doubt wed still be "in the running" if its only 2 years. i heard the only reason he hasnt already resigned in phoenix is due to term. may be false though.
