Some of the newer posters have a harder time discussing something without calling names, making personal attacks and whatnot. It's the condescending tone they get. People are going to have disagreements. DD and I have them all the time. Yet somehow we coexist on the board without any confrontations. It's just a matter of respect and allowing other people to have opinions while still expressing your own.

I've noticed it's been kinda testy lately but didn't contribute it to an influx of new people.

You're right. It's not all of the new posters, but the more of them that are around, the testier it seems to get these days. It's not mutually exclusive though, you are correct.

My favorite is when I get told my opinion is wrong, and that I'm being difficult.

It's an opinion. It's what I think. And I'm entitled to it. I also never tell someone their opinion is wrong, I just say why I disagree.

It does seem to be dragging on and on.

Feels like people have been snappier than usual. Less tolerant of certain things, specifically a blanket negative attitude about anything and everything the team does.

This forum is pretty low key compared to others I frequent tho (not hockey related).

Things seem to stay pretty civil most of the time, or maybe I just don't notice. I tend to gloss over larger and larger parts of the more recent threads
