What is it now - Kulemin + a 3rd? Like most poker players they seem to always remember the big hands won and not the bad. Burke in his career as GM has won some big hands. TO fans seemed convinced he can do it every time.

They're pulling the "unproven" card, which, to be fair, is true, but some of them are saying they aren't willing to package any of their better prospects or a first rounder.

Reimer/Scrivens + D'amigo/Frattin seems to be the consensus.

LA will get a good package for Bernier if/when they decide to trade him—I'm guessing it will be quite a bit better than Lindback/Bobrovsky.

Of course he would but that won't stop him from trying. Ironic that they're not willing to consider giving up any of their unproven (let's face it) prospects for a highly-touted unproven prospect.

Is it any different from what they offer up for Lu? Spare parts, failed prospects, and bad contracts. I just fail to understand every time how fringe players on the 25th placed team in the league would somehow represent great value to either the President's Trophy or Stanley Cup winning teams.

I don't think they need a 4.2 million cap hit thrown in there that's not going to crack the lineup. Mason Raymond is a huge downgrade for marleau, seeing as patty is one of the most consistent scorers in the league since the lockout.

You should hang out here more often... Ballard + Raymond + a 7th rounder is pretty much the go to trade proposal for every Superstar available. Didn't you know?

Ian, this guy would get hung out to dry if he traded both for LU. i have been on a big push to look into trading for Luongo since the seasons end. i have said before, had the hawks had a guy like roberto in that net playing the yotes, the hawks win that series and possibly a couple more to go up against the kings in the WFC,maybe!
all that rivaly crap about negativity regarding certain players on both teams is nothing more than just fan & media bantering bullcrap! what some people forget is fans don't run the team, the GM does. here's some facts Ian, and i usually don't go to other teams websites and stir up crap. JJ is a top shelf blogger so he's usually right on & sensible with his info! unlike some of these posters that dream up half of this crap while they are home from college over the summer, come home half shot at 3AM & drum up some of this stuff on the computer!
1) roberto luongo is, & has been an elite goalie in this league for a long time, don't know why it hasn't gotten done yet but ican tell you that 29 other gm's ,if he didn't have that contract would be beating down gillis's door to get him! i want him big time since chicago has ZERO goaltending prospects , Lu would buy them 5-6 years to develope another 1! with that being said, gillis is going to have to take back a bad contract or 2 plus a plum to get a deal done. but the plum won't be andrew shaw, it may be someone like beach or pirri or lalonde. now nick leddy, that could be part of a bigger deal with multi players changing hands both ways. no way Bowman will trade those 2 kids without someone else besides Lu coming back.
so we'll see what goes on this 1. our convention is set for fri.& right now the hawk brass are stuffing magazines in their pants just like school kids used to do when they know a red ass whippin is comin from the nuns! should be interesting !
2) the sedins, they are very good 1st class hockey players & individuals on & off the ice. 29 teams would take them in a heart beat including the hawks! the "sisters" they are not!
3) kevin bieksa, is a good hard nosed D men the hawks sorely need , would love a couple of the Hawks D man to follow his game plan including growing a pair! attn: nick leddy!
4) ryan kesler is the type centerman we sorely need ! & him an ladd would do like every other guy in the past who eventually got dealt to the same team, bury the competitive hatchet! & yes we don't have ladd any more & sorely miss him!
5) dave bolland is 1 hell of a good shut down & get you some goals center that you fans would love , the radio crap was just that, fun & bantering , in real life he has the utmost respect for daniel & henrik as we all do!
6) patrick kane is 1 elite player that maybe has alittle too much fun on his off days but on the ice, he can be a force, he's going no where per the owners! they sat him down and had the "hockey daddy" talk with him.
7) our fans & your fans are some of the best in the league , you have a beautiful city as do we. we have idiots on the south & west side that "tear up their own hoods" when the bulls win so it's everywhere.
8) if there is a sensible deal to be made ,both GM's will get it done for Lu & who ever. and Lu 's favorite song will become chelsea's dagger this winter! likei said the gm's run the team , not the fans! remember this, chicago has welcomed dennis rodman, bob probert, daniel carcillo and others who were "hated" before! roberto Luongo will follow suit IF he becomes a hawk ! he'll love taylor street , a ton of good italian restuarants 5 minutes from the UC!
