None are as good as Hamels though.
- NickTheKid87

Names being available: Hamels, Shields, Liriano, Greinke

Those seem to be the best arms available during this deadline. Could of missed a player though.

Yea.. it was HGH injections. No proven guarantee that it would help him... it could help him with complications that are secondary to his knee issue though.
- jak521

what's he got to loose? except for a season where he'd probably have to sit out for violating the substance abuse policy but c'mon already.

you've got a better chance of scoring more runs over the course of a long season playing for the big innings than you do by giving up outs and scoring one run here or there. not always easy to watch, but one's own eyes deceive himself while watching baseball more than any other sport, imo.

btw cannot believe you've turned on chase, who was heading for the HOF before his knees turned on him and now thank god for pence, career average everyday outfielder.

thank you

i don't wanna rip the guy, he's a nice player. but some people are way too fond of him, imo

the plasma injections are done here as well.. As a matter of fact.. both Gagne and Carter have had PRP (if thats what you are talking about) within the past 7 years.
- jak521

Then its not plasma. Its something that they can get done but only out of the country as its not legal here in America. I'm going to look it up.

It's all that matters. The end result. They traded the face of their franchise, and got minor league filler in return. When you are a GM (especially of a small market team) you can't afford those type of misses.
- PLindbergh31

He had no choice with CC and got Milwaukee's best prospect at the time. He managed his assets well, unfortunately for him, La Porta turned out to be one of the many first-round busts in baseball history--at least to this point.

I'm just aggravated with this poop that goes on every year. If it's that bad just retire already.

What if his name was Ilya Utley? Would you have more patience for him then?

Hamels still trumps all those guys. Shields would be second on my list followed by Greinke and Liriano. Greinke can't play in big markets though so that limits the field for him.

he wears high socks and runs hard!

he's a dude that's insanely difficult to watch with the combination of the absolute dreck he swings and his dreadful right field play and disgusting mechanics. but at the end of the day, he's an average everyday player.

Joking aside, that's rather harsh. Who would you have replace him at the position?

no way. greinke and hamels are neck and neck.

edit: eh, greinke is not far behind hamels at least.

Pence is not your normal type of player. I would rate him higher than an average everyday player though. Hes above average.
