Really? What did Steckle receive? Hedman? Oh? Crosby didnt have to play against Scott Stevens either. - Prolific_Scorer
I feel sorry for whoever had to play against Stevens.

Dumb since only Crosby should win it. Giroux/Stammer are the only other options and they aren't there. - AdamFrench
I think Malkin is above Giroux and Stamkos in my opinion. But still behind Crosby. Honestly, I think the top 4 players in today's game are:
Crosby
Malkin
Stamkos
Giroux
I was going to say a top 5 but didn't know who to put in the #5 spot.
Also, with this whole "then vs now" thing, why has nobody mentioned Selanne? He's 41, he played in the 90's with Gretzky, isn't THAT big (6 foot 200lbs), and still put up 66 points last season. |

I agree...but the matchups before the finals are interesting...like Seguin Hall...Letang Karlson...the beginning rounds are interesting. - celata29
Sort of, it's a popularity contest for the most part. I'd like to see instead of fan voting, "expert" voting with reasons and analysis. |

Just saying what I grew up with as a Bruins fan was pretty sh i tty, kind of like the leafs in the past few years and I know how it feels, especially as a kid when you are impatient, then trade your captain and franchise player for the equivalent of a bottom pairing defenseman and two 3rd liners. - celata29
Yeah I hear you that must have sucked. |

Brodeur.
In terms of #'s it's not even a question. I know people sue the "devil's defense" argument, but they haven't had the best defense for his entire career. He made some pretty acrobatic saves over the years (even in this past years playoffs). So while he's a butterfly icon he still has some athleticism and knows how to use it when he needs too. |
