It is all about that one year he had 30, he wouldn't make as much as he did if it wasn't for that one year in my opinion.

I think either one of Kule/Mac gets traded. Thus allowing Kadri to step in.

I wouldn't mind trying him at 1C, he isn't a 1C though I just would like to see it tried out. I really like that trade idea floating around for Mac, Scrivens and a 2nd for Halak Would it cost more?

Wideman is making 5.5 right? Neuf is not that overpaid, I would say if we had him at 5.5 per he would be underpaid maybe 6 would be right but look at some of the deals across the league.

I'd rather it be Mac for the reason that we have enough wingers to take over in the top 6. Kulemin can fill in 2nd or 3rd line roles. If he's scoring then he can play 2nd line, if he's struggling offensively he's still good defensively and fits well on the 3rd line.

In my opinion Mac is only good on the 2nd, he's not a great 3rd liner. I think Kuli has a better upside in all around game. Plus he plays physically which we need.

I would say put him on the 3rd or fourth line to give them some scoring threat, he was good defensively if I am not mistaken. That or do a 3rd scoring line of the youngsters.

I agree, but that's a lot of money on a risk in my opinion. He's had some injury problems lately and the odds of another 30 goal season are close to 0. He's a guy they needed to keep, and maybe that was the only way to keep him, but it's still a bit much.

He did a pretty nice job defending in the playoffs. Problem with Green is he is pretty narrow, he focuses on one aspect at a time. Under Hunter he defended well but never got his offensive game back, and under Boudreau he roamed like a madman.

Overpayment for sure, but jeez Matt (frank)ing Carle got 5.5 and he's pretty mediocre.

With Burke saying he dosnt expect the team to remain the same, you would have to think one/two of Kadri, Kulemin, Mac would be traded....

Hard to say, I'd want him on the third line to, but I don't like making lineups and leaving Connolly and Lombo off because I doubt they will be gone.

I can't imagine anyone siding with the owners on this new CBA...They created their own sh*thole with the last CBA and now they want to screw the players again...Not gonna happen...

It's just the salary inflation. With the way the cap has risen over the last few years it was only a matter of time before salaries started seeing the same thing happen.

Carle and Wideman too, yikes, then you have Leipold saying we have to curb spending and what does he do, gives massive contracts to Parise and Suter, they never learn.
