Haven't been on twitter that much but noticed quite of few tweets about Arnott's name floating around connecting to the Leafs. Hopefully just crap rumours.
- LeafMan

arnott would be a great 3rd line addition....some size and veteran leadership.
problem is, we already have 9 players vying for the position.

he was bloody AWFUL

i kid you not, those 2 players, i am better LOL

and im not great by any means!

- big_dion

I respectfully disagree. I think he did well enough for his role and did a HELL OF A LOT better on the PK then Phil "PK Specialist" Dupuis ever was.

Sjostrom was pretty decent with his defensive positioning and hustle. He just lacked everything else.

I like the part where he said he was destroyed by the legit heavyweights like Laraque...

um, Laraque destroyed everybody. Period. There was Laraque and then everybody else.

- Big_Lightnin

And then he decided he wanted to actually play and was out of the NHL shortly after. Nobody really wanted to fight him in any case. Kinda like Steve Macintyre after he obliterated Ivanans, nobody was much interested in fighting that monster.

They shouldn't.

Gardiner is the closest thing, but watch how fast that changes if he has a weak season this year.

- Juice

I think Burke does everything in his power to NOT trade Frattin, just cause he's the only guy ready to go who's a Carlyle/Burke type player.

all good, i think they both were awful.

im not going to make a big deal arguing about 2 4th liners who are playing in Isreal mens league hockey right now.

oh man I saw that game too, that was really tough to watch. When you're not cheering for either team, you never want to see that.

Yessir, Im officially the Flames blogger...well one of two, Stacy may also be jumping on board as a tag team, but no confirmation yet.
- Colin Dambrauskas

Poor (frank)ing you, having to watch Flames games, if the flames played the russians, id cheer for the russians, in fact id cheer for the leafs over the (frank)ing flames, best part about watching the Flames in the next few years, is watching them lose consistently.

I haven't either that's why I'd like to! Haha yeah I don't think you guys would have a chance, but maybe in a few years we can stoke a healthy rivalry. Definitely respect the leafs the most in our division, mostly because of the fans.
- celata29

Oh the leafs would get destroyed for sure. 5 game series MAXIMUM.

There's no way Kessel, Lupul and the rest of our midgets up front could handle a playoff series against the B's. Not yet anyway.

Agreed, I respect and hate the Bruins the same amount.

Appreciate it! You hate a lot of the fans, who weren't fans pre-lockout when the Bs sucked. I feel your pain and went through similar tribulations and like to see fans stick by their teams. I used to go to every game for like 10$ when they were awful, but still loved em. Can't afford it now=/. got to one playoff game during the cup run game 2 of eastern conference finals. 6-5 seguins big game, which was a lot of fun, yet saw people who hadn't watched a game until the third round of the playoffs go to the cup. Shelled 300$ to see the banner raising though, that was sweet.

still a terrible trade from the Leafs perspective. Actually made the team worse both immediately and in the future.

Nazem "Lucic in training" Kadri of course.

Ah ok...yeah this is his make it or break it year. Provided hes actually given ice time, he needs to start contributing full time.

yup, and they need to know what they've got.

I don't care if he literally poops on the ice in camp, he needs to be on the roster on opening day.

at a big playoff game, and your rookie has the game of his life, thats something u wont forget!!

i cant imagine how much money id have to shell out to see a leafs cup game, or banner raising...i mean were talking thousands here dude!

I really think the only players on that team that should NEVER be traded if they want a chance to land another cup are:

Chara (obviously)
Lucic
Seguin

Lucic is a player that every single team in the league would die to have. He's the type of player that even if magically an exact clone of him was suddenly made available even Boston would want get in line for him.

- Juice

This x 1000

I havent hated/loved a player playing with the Bruins so much since Neely, not that Lucic will ever reach those numbers, but still every team in the league would line up to get him.
