From Paul McCann's blog: The Weber offer:

Year 1 through 4 - $1 million salary, $13 million signing bonus
Year 5 through 6 – $4 million salary, $8 million signing bonus
Year 7 through 10 - $6 million salary
Year 11 - $3 million salary
Year 12 through 14 - $1 million salary

Milwaukee Wisconsin ... Chicago's biggest suburb.

Nice idea. Would wonder if they could sustain it for hockey. Admirals could have to move too.

Highly unlikely.

Moy's gotta love that.

GREAT move by Philly. Not because it weakens a 'Hawks div rival in NSH, but move by a GM with GIANT STEEL BALLS in PHI.

Stan is definitely behind in the count....what is it blackhawk24...2 strikes &???

So been away a while.. People's thoughts on the new coach?

Figured there would be a write up from JJ on it.. Does he think he is allowed to have a life off this board?

Certainly not taking any pitches. Gotta be no balls, two strikes.

Didn't say that, I'm saying him and Teuvo are the guys to build around, with the other guys (Olsen, McNeill, Hayes) plugged in around them.

Not to mention the leash that Bowman has on ALL of his prospects. He doesn't even let the dogs out of the house.

- 1goalLordStanley

I take the known commodity in Weber and go all in to win the cup now. His play is exactly what the hawks need and the cost i think is an underpayment

Can we trade for Vorceks rights now please? Put him on RW since Kane is the apparent 2C again. PHI cant really do too much with Voracek now with Weber on their payroll if they get him

Sharp Toews Voracek
Stalberg Kane Hossa
Shaw Bolland Frolik
Carcillo Kruger Bickell

that's not a bad idea. Philly may be in the market for some draft picks if Nashville doesn't match.

There will be a NHL team in Quebec or Seattle before Milwaukee even gets consideration.
- EKolb13

Quebec for sure. Bias here on my part. I'd like to see 10 CDN teams.

I wouldn't be surprised if Holmgren has a deal worked out on the side to deal a defenseman if Poile doesn't match the offer. Perhaps Holmgren has already talked to Ken Holland?

I don't think the Flyers want to lose Voracek.

AH HA ! so this was Bowman's plan. Do absolutely nothing and let the others get worse..... Imagine if he did make a move. The Hawks would be way ahead

Who says the Hawks are not ahead now? The Hawks blueline looks better than Detroit's. If Nashville looses Weber, they'll be better than Nashville too.

I don't think Hamilton will ever get an NHL team. Toronto and the League won't have it.

Ok you guys are going to get me banned and not from the MOD'S either but from the wife. She can't understand why I spend so much time on the site and if she happens to look over my shoulder and sees southerns avatar and pictures of Kellie Pickler I'm looking at a ban.

If Bobby Lu stays in Van, he may want another team close by to take some attention away from him.
