BTW, Luongo is still a better, more proven goaltender than Schneider. CS has not yet been asked to carry the load for the Canucks for 65 games.
I'd say taking Roberto would strengthen the Blackhawks while also weakening the Canucks. Let's remember we are talking about a world class goalie with a gold medal on his resume, versus Corey Crawford.
I'd still prefer Kipper from Calgary. |

It has nothing to do with Luongo "Sucking" It has more to do with his history with the Hawks. I cant ever see him accepting a trade there. - TheCouv

If that's your belief, that's fine. I have my view point as well, and it's obvious that both of our opinions are at either ends of the spectrum. No need to bash each other, at least this time. I'm sure we're both sick to death about arguing about Luongo. I know I am. - EKolb13
Yep this is true.
We all hate these talks every year but we always get drwn into them.

JJ,
In your expert opinion why do you believe the Hawks are not getting a lot of love from the remaining free agents?
Is it money, the team, management, coaching, locker room issues?
I would think Chicago is a place players would want to go to.
Who would'nt want to play with captain serious? - Hawkster
Something in there. There's some bad juju out there. Organization has a black cloud over it.

I'm thinking he'll be available at the trade deadline, if the Avs are out of it.

Well played John well I'm not going to fall for this I'm not going to get warped into your games for more hits so canucks fans and chicago fans argue about what Luongo will get us. - pker2theend

So JJ, the lack of FA love you mention; does this apply to Winnik, Hannan & Clark?
Ah it's beautiful day in the bleachers at the old North Side Ballyard! - blackhawk24
Winnik for sure. I'm told he told the Hawks he "wasn't interested." |

JJ,
In your opinion, why are the hawks not getting any love from any of the remaining free agents. IMO Chicago is one of the nicest cities in the country, it's a storied franchise. There has to be a reason why fa don't wanna play here. I presented this same question a few weeks ago when the whole praise/suter debacle was going on & Al said in that case Min just offered everything they were looking for. I can buy that. But what I don't buy is that fa's don't wanna play here just cause they wanna play somewhere else. Something ain't right. You can't tell me these players wouldn't wanna play with toews, Kane, Hosea, & company.
This has to be something within the organization - abvnbyd
Just my (somewhat informed) opinion:
There are players here that some don't want to play with. The reason those players are here extends to the front office and management. The front office is the big problem. Th infighting and conflicting agendas are now widely known throughout the league. Again, just my opinion, but it is borne out by much of what I've heard and observed.

This Luongo thing is going to drag out lie the Nash thing. It will still be talked about next summer because they'll still be with the same (frank)ing teams. |

THIS. |
|

That's still too much, in my opinion. Any deal for Luongo has to be built around Crawford to start, then two of the three bad contracts. After that, maybe you throw Gillis someone like Bickell, or a pick, or mid level prospect like Pirri, Morin or Beach to give him some value back. - EKolb13
Hey EK
I don't think they would take 2or3 bad contracts. That would be great though! |
