yep, i kind of like that idea of 45/45/ & the last 10 goes in to a fund for infrastructure, pensions, hardships, ect!
i want to book a trip for the vancouver game in november, thats some big coin to lay out only to have it cancelled so we're in a holding mode for awhile.
& could that game be the return of LUUU? that hunch is starting to become more evident as friday draws nearer & nearer, no way will McD settle for eddie o. having to introduce our big catch over the summer being..................sheldon brookbank followed by stan's ......................
"the kid's are on the way & correy will bounce back"!, then followed up by Q's "i'd like to introduce my new assistant, we found him in the sunday nite C league but has untapped potential"?????????? !! you guys get it! so get your 31 Lu jerseys early boys! - wonthecup10
Would a Luongo deal be something that everybody would be excited about at the convention? It would be something to talk about and the whole soap opera angle of him coming over from our arch rivals and the debate that would follow about who got fleeced in the trade would be amusing. From the pure hockey aspect of it if he has his head on straight he'd be an upgrade over CC but until the Hawks get a 2nd line center and a physical d-man I wouldn't start planing the parade just yet. |

Yet if someone says something on a message board that should be taking seriously?
These things live their own life in here and other boards. Someone says something and others just take that as a fact and the myth grows. - MjulQvist
I guess it's good that you believe what the media and organization spoon feed you. |

McNeill and Danault won't be in Rockford until their seasons are over in the CHL. They're not old enough. |

No but I don´t consider things that I read from message boards as a truth either. Or maybe I´m just in denial? |

I was tring to find where Stan said it, and here it is: http://espn.go.com/blog/c...aad-star-at-prospect-camp
Talking about it being up to Q if Saad plays some center at training camp. Gee, I wonder how "up to Q" it really is. This article says it was Saad who asked to try center at prospects camp. Wonder if that is the truth, since it came from Bowman. - BDT36
So a 19 year old wing who was taken in the second round last year and has never done one single thing to indicate he can make it as a pro this year is requesting to be a center, after the desperate, Adam Dunn of GM strikeouts Stan Bowman says he could crack the top 6 this year.
Anyone buying this, much less those saying it, need to have their head examined immediately.

I've got a feeling Saad will be in the starting line-up opening night with Chicago. After a dozen games or so, they'll park him in Rockford, just like they did with Leddy in the '10-'11 season. |

Don´t buy that at all. They can´t be serious to consider him as a center, can they? |

It's Bowman. Kane has been put at center. Last year at camp, Kevin Hayes wanted to play center. Saad wanting/willing to play center or Bowman trying to have him stuck there wouldn't be out of the norm. |

Hey, if Bowman doesn't add anything, and if the lockout becomes a reality, it's an outcome I can live with. - EKolb13
Sad to say but there's something ailing this team and what you suggest might be the best thing to get back in the winning circle. |

A note on the whole issue of players wanting to come here or not because of certain players.
That is maybe too simplistic. I will just put it this way: I know of at least one player who has left Chicago with a bad taste in his mouth (very bad) over how he saw certain players' behaviors being ignored and coddled, and how he and others were treated—especially when they spoke up about it.
THAT player, in turn, helped recruit at least one Chicago free agency target (an old, old friend of his) this year to another team.
Connect the dots. Just ONE example. The NHL player/scout/coach fraternity is pretty small. Word gets out.
And my personal belief is that the "One Goal" cult that the Hawks created—a bunch of great, young guys who are all pals on and off the ice— is something the Hawks themselves came to believe, even though it was never really true.
The Stanley Cup bloom is long off the rose. The Hawks have holes and problems just like any other team and more than some. I think the problem now is an organizational arrogance that prevents them from honestly seeing what the problems are—because these are people whose egos prevent them from admitting their own mistakes.
Personally, unless they pull 1-2 significant rabbots out the hat and turn this thing around in the next few weeks, I think a major house-cleaning is coming.
All this NONSENSE about Brandon Saad making the top 6, much less at center, is just insane and embarrassing. And there are people in the organization who see it that way.
It won't take much longer. |

This. Because he's not ready but there is no point sending him to junior until he turns 20 later in the fall. |
