Just out of curiosity, are you really from Tuscaloosa? The only time I've heard it mentioned is in a Sublime song. |

I'm hedging my bets that Q isn't behind the bench come April. - EKolb13
If Q isn't behind the bench in April...bad things have taken place on the ice...real bad things. |

I'd rather win and have Q go out on a high note...and I do not want to see the Hawks slide...I've enjoyed the last several years. |

Was just reading the wiki page, best place to live in the US for young people, city of champions (don't tell Edmonton) and top 50 place to start a small business. Climate sounds good, not too hot in the summer, not too cold in the winter. Other than the rare tornado, sounds like paradise! |

Full diclosure. I attended the Arkansas-Fayetteville many moons ago.
You may have braggin' rights, but I pull for the Razorbacks. Was on campus when the roundball team won the NCAA title...that was a little nutz. |

Something in there. There's some bad juju out there. Organization has a black cloud over it. - John Jaeckel
Is that a fact? Makes me wonder why in this years NHLPA´s poll Blackhawks was most wanted team to play for.
Or is it how they treated Dale Tallon? Everybody liked Dale, didn´t they (ecxept fans of course). |

Chicago Cougars, and Foreman vs Ali ...Thrilla in Manilla.
Saw a lot of Cougars games and Gretzky and many others before the merger.
Not to forget the Bruiser and Crusher... - Al
Wow the cougars first hockey game I ever saw live i was 4. 3rd row in one of the corners, hard check glass smashes all over me. My dad turns to me asks me if I am ok- heart racing look at him scream that was amazing or something like that. that's when I fell in love with hockey.
Remember sitting in the cheap seats at the stadium way up in the rafters. We would hold penny's in our hands for the first 2 periods get then nice and hot and then after the zamboni between period 2 and 3 chuck them on the ice (or try) on the visitors side so they would melt just enough into the ice to hold fast and trip the team during the skate around. Most often before blues games.
Shriners circus at the amp, a few other things. Back home Tuesday for 2 weeks. Love my job, love my wife, live so cal weather, miss Chicago. Been to 80+ countries Chicago still the best place I have ever been. Hero's onaddison first stop. |

Perhaps the Hawks falling on their faces wouldn't be the worst thing, especially if it comes down to a lockout shortened season? It gets Q and whatever other lackeys he has behind the bench out of here, it may be enough to get the Bowman regime pushed out the door and provide this team with a top 10 1st round pick and some other goodies by selling off a few expiring contracts at the trade deadline.
A fresh start and some much needed housecleaning could be just what this team needs. |

Well the old Chicago Stadium was ....rather unique as well...but I luved it.
And how 'bout old Comiskey Park....the place was a dump...but what a magnificent dump it was.
And don't forget...the International Amphitheater's odor was no doubt enhanced by it's original function, which was livestock exhibition, since it was adjacent to the stock yards. - ArlingtonRob
That's the smell I was referring to - same smell you had at Sox Park when the wind blew northeast. |

well boys, are more dominoes going to fall once doan say's he's staying in the desert? plan F? jason arnott for 1 year? gives mcneil & ? time in rockford?
on other crap, i see the culture of the NFL &NBA is in full summer mode with players starting to get arrested daily,or telling the owners who the coach will be, where YOU WILL trade me to, ect. ect. ect blah, blah, blah!!!!!
pretty soon we should see 1 thug ass from the NBA or NFL gettin rung up for domestic crap or a gun rap............ hence why i hope these guys settle this CBA in good taste so i don't have to rely on that other crap in the fall!
cub's , it's just so like them to start out crappy and go on a run, and all of a sudden they're around august 15th, near 500 and less than 7 games out, what the hell is wrong with that picture? all bboorriinngg!! drop the puck already! |

Yet if someone says something on a message board that should be taking seriously?
These things live their own life in here and other boards. Someone says something and others just take that as a fact and the myth grows. |

All the NHLPA has to do is accept Bettman's and the owners' proposal and a deal could be done today.............
Except I think this may take awhile - I'm not making any plans to attend the pre-season games. |

yep, i kind of like that idea of 45/45/ & the last 10 goes in to a fund for infrastructure, pensions, hardships, ect!
i want to book a trip for the vancouver game in november, thats some big coin to lay out only to have it cancelled so we're in a holding mode for awhile.
& could that game be the return of LUUU? that hunch is starting to become more evident as friday draws nearer & nearer, no way will McD settle for eddie o. having to introduce our big catch over the summer being..................sheldon brookbank followed by stan's ......................
"the kid's are on the way & correy will bounce back"!, then followed up by Q's "i'd like to introduce my new assistant, we found him in the sunday nite C league but has untapped potential"?????????? !! you guys get it! so get your 31 Lu jerseys early boys! |
