Buffalo and toronto/ottawa seem to hate eachother more than buffalo and nyi/nyr in my opinion..

I can see the Buffalo-Toronto rivalry for hockey, but does it extend into non-hockey things? Does Toronto look at Buffalo as upstate hicks, and does Buffalo look at Toronto as egocentric and self-important?

Or - due to proximity - are they more like cousins?

I'm guessing its the Islanders, Carolina, Florida or maybe Washington.

To be fair, NJ also has both NY football teams and the NY MLS soccer team... even if they aren't called NJ teams.

As far as this 7.5 mil offer, even if true, Doan will most likely take less to either stay in Phx or go to a strong contender.

if i was a athlete i would like a area like buffalo because we are a huge sports town. were a small town but 90+% of the residents are bills and sabres fans. $500k gets you a mansion with land. generally no traffic, everywere is ~20mins away, lots of golf courses, low cost of living, not much crime.

why a athlete wouldnt want to live in buffalo...no nightlife, nothing really to do, your not really a celebrity here, low population so not many girls to pick and choose from, SNOW!!!!!!

Whenever a "NON hockey town" wins a cup, it's good for the NHL. We might hate some teams who win it, but when they do, it makes the league more profitable.

Exactly people seem to forget that a good portion of the teams in the NHL are so called non-hockey markets yet some non-hockeymarkets fill their buildings every night

B) Took a Sabres beat writer's twitter picture, edited it as seen below, and made it his own
