Used the eyes and the under bellies back in the day.

With plastic jigs, I prefer to tip them with dew worms or leeches. Same with slip bobbers and spinners. We can't use live minnows in SK, those are the best.

If I'm lazy, I will tip with a slice of chicken or beef heart, they stay on the hook.

This lake in north SK we go to, all you need is a Len Thompson yellow and red 5 of diamonds spoon, it's crazy.

never had any success with spinners it's weird... the underbellies are great mainly because they're tough as nails. Keeps you from getting robbed by baby perches and other basyards who just nibble the worms

I had to laugh at the slave troll. All I picture is a little knee high Rancor dancing around doing an Irish jig.

Yes that's a bait that you can use all day. What type of lure are you tipping it with?

Spinners work best on a slow troll, I don't use them much because I hate trolling. Too boring.

We troll to locate if our usual spots aren't working or when exploring a new lake.

So walleye underbellies eh? Will have to give that a try.

Not sure about there, but here the locations are usually the same this time of year, early morning and in the late evening until dark. Trying to locate them during the day is a waste of time, you may catch a couple here and there. But the good bite times are as said.

Great news!!!!

Just got back from camping with my wife and 2 youngest kids. Apparently, my 14 year old hates her mother and will only speak to her through me. Good times.
