well it really had nothing to do with my point that the offer Pete mentioned from the rangers sucks

you said that the jackets could probably get more for nash. and i said you were right, they got more from the sens but nash would waive his nmc to their. so i'm pretty sure i stayed on point.

51 in his second season... I see him gettign 60 next year and improving from there. He showed flashes last year of being our number 1 center immediately.. I tend to think in 5 years our core is Stepan, Kreider, McD I am higher on Stepan than most.

why are we even talking about offers from a team not on his list of approved destinations?

just say you are right to an extent. anyhow. will homer include scheen or couts instead of trading away four 1st round pick?

Of those 3, I can confidently say that I see McDonagh with the highest ceiling. Guaranteed once he becomes the defensive monster we expect, he will become a 40 point defenseman on top of it.

Kreider and Stepan are pretty close. However, I think Kreider edges him out simply because he has been a winner at ever point in his career. Guy played his first NHL games in the playoffs and did phenomenal, where as Stepan choked. I dont think Kreider will be as good defensively as Stepan, but offensively I think high ceiling is much higher because his skating ability is at a higher level than Stepan's.

I agree Kreider >> Stepan. But Stepan will be untouchable after another season or 2 IMO.

EDIT: And it isn't blind homerism. I am not as high on Erixon as some of you are and I'd easily move him in a package for a forward.

Theres a much better chance of him moving Couturier than Schenn... simply because hes not going to break up the brothers.

Weber takes them right up to the cap and they still have to sign Voracek plus next season Simmonds is an RFA, I hope the cap comes down just to see that scramble.

Rangers should throw an offer sheet at Voracek, love to see him wearing a Blueshirt.

Im not saying he will, Im only saying that if someone is moved, it will be Couturier before either of the Schenn's.

I'd sign Simmonds to a 4 year, $4.5m per offers sheet.

Id rather offer sheet E. Kane. Give him 5 years, 6m AAV. Might seem like a lot for him, but it will pay off in the long run.

Send Philadelphia a taste of their own medicine, for Voracek who is 22, 5 yr 16 million dollar offer sheet would cost us a 2nd round pick.....well worth it.

With the cap potentially on the way down (or staying as is), I think making a brash move like that might not be good for us moving forward.

We need to resign Stepan, Hagelin and McDonagh next year. Wouldnt be a good idea for us. On top of the fact that we still need to resign DZ right now.

They cant lower it to 50 million, that would absolutely SCREW 1/3 of the NHL big market teams.

Nah they were but I think like philly they were gonna offer sheet. I don't see why people are female doging. Its there for a reason. Smart by Holmgren and I see nothing wrong with it. Only franchise that should scorn him is the Preds and rightfully so.

I don't know if thats confirmed but highly likely. I think he had 2 in front of him but I dont think it was this big city bullpoop hes spoonfeedign the media. I truly think Flyers blew the Rangers out of the water with that insane contract.

The $ isnt insane, its the way its structured that is. Its all the bonuses and guaranteed $ made Weber salivate. He knew pretty much no other team would put in an offer like that.
