Just read Weber's comments about living in Manhattan, these guys a just flat out cowards and can't face the pressure, how does Philadelphia appeal to you compared to the City, players obviously don't take fan bases into account either, good luck if Nashville passes(doubt it though) |

I really hope Nashville matches, I have my doubts though unfortunately.
But, it sure seems like Weber doesn't want to go back to Nashville and he very well could be stuck there for 14 years.
c'mon Nashville, match it |

So, now according to Brooks, Howson believes that the Weber situation will create leverage in negotiations with the Rangers for Nash. Nevermind the fact that most of the teams actually interested have dropped out on Nash, and none of the previous events that he believed would create leverage actually have. If reports are to be believed, only the Red Wings and Rangers are still interested, and if he trades him to the Red Wings, he has to see Nash 6 times a year.
If he really wants to trade him, Howson is eventually going to have to come to grips with reality. |

Glad we don't operate the way we used to, still find Weber's comments to be absolutely dumb, he did not think before speaking, Philly over NY? |

Howson continues to prove he's an idiot. I think it comes from his upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too. |

On the Weber offer sheet, is there anyway, short of overpaying for a bunch of left over UFAs that the Predators can meet the cap floor if they don't match on Weber.
I really think there is only two options here. Either the Preds just match, or the Flyers and Predators work out a deal where the Preds get some NHL players back. And, I am beginning to think that it will be the second option, and the Flyers will end up with Weber. I just don't see how it would be feasible for the Predators not to match, and take the 4 first round picks. |

that's pretty much what happened in 1997 when Philly signed Gratton to an offer sheet, they worked out a deal post signing where Renberg and something else went to Tampa.
You gotta figure one of those high priced defensemen from Philly will go to Nashville |

He wants Courturier or Schenn, given that the Schinn brothers were just reunited, douby one of them goes.

All well and good, but in the end. The best power play coach in the NHL, just got Shea Weber and that bomb of his to add to their arsenal. Stay out or the box boyz when we play Philly.
On Weber's comments re: New York. It's based in ignorance and miss information. It;s too bad the video presentation the Rangers made for him wasn't enough to sway him. I know they worked long and hard on it over the course of two days working around the clock. Time to move on. |

Our boys better take offense to all these stars passing up a shot at winning in NY, still no one believes that we are contenders, time to prove the NHL wrong, F Philly, they still won't beat us with a fish in net. |

ok you have no scoring
end of story - Crimsoninja
The team with no scoring beat the team with no goaltending 8 out of 8 times. End of story |

I don't think the league or the players think the Rangers were a fluke last year, however, Im sure they are questioning their ability to play every game at that level again this year. There is no denying there are many questions about the Rangers this year, than there are answers. In particular upfront where they have no real goal scoring threat with Gaborik out for the start of the season. Also, will AA, Stepan, Hagelin, and such improve or are they at value. What you have to like about Rick Nash is, he will be more than happy to become a New York Ranger, and that has to worth something.. |

WTF are you talking about, are we not allowed to take comments made from players as personal or are we supposed to accept that players don't appear intrigued with our team and it's ability to contend? Get a grip, it's an opinion, it's what we all post here, sorry to ruffle your belief system. |

Webber didn't want to live in NYC team told him he could live in the burbs but he thought that if most of the players live in NYC and he didn't he would feel like he was an outsider and not part of the team |

woke up to news about a huge shooting at a viewing of the movie in Aurora Colorado, 14 people dead. YIKES.
Looks to be very close in location to Littleton, where the Columbine shooting was.
VERY messed up - jimbro83

Saw you commenting about Dog Day Afternoon recently Nick, so many early Pacino roles were epic. That was classic, ever see Serpico? |
