When was the last time the Rangers issued an offer sheet to an RFA?
Face it dude, your team--albeit proactive--is the dirtiest in off-season dealings.
I could care less if this is within the rules; the Flyers are poaching and it's absurd moves like this that will eventually make this league disappear. |

Basically the criteria for one of these deals now is that, that the player can't be over 40 past at the expiration of the contract, the years at the end of the deal must be at least 1 million, and it must be somewhat of a subtle drop off in the tail ends of the year.
We can all thank Ken Holland for Franzen's contract for starting this mess in the first place. |

im sure you'd be super pissed at Slats for making such AN EVIL move to try to improve his team - Crimsoninja
Here's the catch though; Sather wouldn't make this kind of a deal. Unwritten rules are as important as written. Dirtbag deals have a price tag on it that can't be seen. Karma exists in all walks of life. |

The Flyers defense will be strong with him there but what good is a defense when your goalie can hardly stop a beach ball?
How can this also bode well when Giroux, B. Schenn, Couturier etc. are all due for significant deals?
Flyers are clearly just thinking about next season and next season only.

was Bryz's player of the Month award in March a fluke then?
finally gets going and then injures his foot before the playoffs. Was still the Flyers best player in the Devils series |

If Bettman listened to Snider, I'd suggest there'd have been a move of Phoenix by now. |

I hope he is very quiet about the players needing to accept cutbacks once the lockout starts |

he's too busy offering 14 year deals while only thinking about next year that he probably forgot about those other guys! |

Bottom line is, add Weber, add Bobby Orr, don't matter, your goalie sucks & the story ends there. |

Can't ignore that he was god awful for half of the season as well. He certainly clicked at the right time, but still he's a very inconsistent goaltender. Especially without Bobrovsky now behind him, how do you know if he is going to be the March Bryzgalov or the January Bryzgalov? |

goaltender is probably the most fickle position year to year, month to month in all of sports
Miller was god awful the first half too. does he suck now? |

Just saying, there's no Bobrovsky at the moment to back him up. If he is awful for half the season, you better hope the Flyers offense is there to bail him out.
It took so much strength to refrain from posting Clarkson's goal in that first response.
The HB server is being really poopty, for a change. |
