My guess is that Pronger being 37, if he starts feeling better and turning the corner as you had said. Will think that maybe I can live a normal life now, grow old with my kids, play sports with them in the back yard etc. And think I had a great career, I've got plenty of money. No reason to risk further injury and setbacks. If he was smart that's what he would think. - MJL
your punctuation use is absolutely fascinating. |

Guess you've never heard of Devan Dubnyk? - bradleyc4
I've heard of him. I think Bernier will be a signficantly better goalie in the NHL. |

I'm a big Bernier fan, but there's just as likely a chance he pans out like his fellow Team Canada buddy Steve Mason as there is that he'll end up being a top goalie in the league.
Dubnyk, at least, has a track record as a starter. Edmonton's also got Olivier Roy and Tyler Bunz coming along in addition to just having re-signed Yan Danis to man the nets in OKC. Where's Bernier going to get his starts with them? |

They have a good, young goalie who they just invested in and still have Khabibulin under contract. Highly doubt they give up good assets for Bernier. |

Wouldn't be surprised to see Luke # 1 in hits for D men. And Brayden #1 in hits for forwards. |

That would depend on what assets the Kings are demanding in return.
Dubnyk is a nice young goalie, but who says he's not just another Reimer?
And while they have a few nice prospects, none are close to ready for NHL starts.
Khabibulin could easily be part of the package going the other way too, since LA will be in need of a backup once Bernier is dealt.
I'd expect Edmonton and Toronto to be the major players here. |
