Khudobin and McQuaid? Draft picks? What do the Kings need?
- Two_For_Truth

I'd rather see how Khodobin does. I think he may play well...

Well only leaves the Leafs, Sens, Habs, Winnipeg and Bruins, possibly New Jersey and Islanders.
- LeafMan

Because one of them is going to end up in Quebec City?

He also said his agent received calls from teams that are close to home.

Not sure how his agent can receive calls from other teams. He's under contract, that would imply tampering

Then they probably didn't come from Burke. Probably Boston and/or Buffalo.

Not a big fan of War movies or gangster movies, they are all the same, if I do watch a war movie, it is The Longest Day.
- LeafMan

thats a good one too..

and i am not an avid fan of the genre.. but there are some classic lines that have stemmed from those flicks.. there is no denying that.

There are some, like Bridge over the River Kwai, Kelly's Heroes that are half decent time wasters, the Dirty Dozen but for the most part, not a big fan of the genre.

All I can tell you is what Sportsnet reported which was.

Leafs general manager Brian Burke, however, suggested that Toronto is not considering an offer for a goaltender with Bernier’s lack of experience. In three seasons with the Kings, Bernier has played a total of 48 games.

"Were not looking at that avenue," Burke explained last week on Sportsnet 590 The Fan’s Prime Time Sports. "A couple goalies that moved are young unproven guys. That's an avenue were not interested in. We've kicked the tires, looked at all the prices, but that’s not an avenue we’re looking at.”

I don't think it would be tampering if you are just talking about trades.

It's tampering if you are talking about signing a guy before he is UFA.

in other words, he's not interested at the asking price, but will 'kick tires' and 'look down that avenue' if the prices drop.
LA wants a first rounder for Bernier, no way Burke gives up a lottery pick for an unproven goalie-he already has a couple of those.

Mirtle's saying Kadri didn't play center last year for the Marlies. Umm what? I'm sure he did.

I'm glad no GM is caving to Gillis' ridiculous trade requests for Luongo and that contract of his.

You need to move him, you created this problem by firstly awarding him that contract AND essentially running him out of town... How dare you turn around and ask for the moon!!!

Cut your loses and move on... Canucks gave up garbage to land Luongo in the first place

@mirtle
A few people suggesting Kadri could be Leafs answer at centre. He should get NHL role, but Marlies didn't use him down middle a whole lot.
