This is a great idea.

I would only make two minor changes.

Instead of throwing in GMs, I would throw in lit matches.

Why would I be throwing in lit matches? Because the second change is replacing baby oil with crude oil.

That's just good TV right there.

Uh crude oil is weak...burns too smooth. Need something more...explosive.

I say that because Bernier said on TV yesterday his agent had discussions with teams that are "close to home"... He's from the Montreal area. So I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
- Pecafan Fan

Bernier said he would prefer to be close to home. I would prefer to be a billionaire. Doesn't mean I'll get what I want.

Burke also said he's disinterested in unproven goaltenders. It's unfortunate but how can you argue with a guy who is that truculent?

Not when it comes to shi tty players no one wants. Rather see them just dissappear. Their presence has already made us suffer enough. To prolong their suffering would prolong ours as well.

Erm..... Kinda. I forgot bout Hemsky as well. I know Leafs Fans get a hard time for over valuing their players, but literally every team's fans only ever offer the same three guys or so for trades.
- walshyleafsfan1

Oiler fans aren't itching to get rid of Hemsky.

Then they probably didn't come from Burke. Probably Boston and/or Buffalo.

What would Boston have to give for Bernier...wouldn't want it to be more than a first.

The more painful the punishment, the stronger the deterrent for future players to play like crap.

Lol...I love Rask. That's why I wouldn't want to bring Bernier in. Rask has been waiting for his number one spot to be solidified. Bringing in Bernier would be a slap in the face...something we wouldn't want to do to our expected franchise goalie when he is on a one year deal.

I delete any joke about cancer when I see it, have seen enough of it with my family and have no time for idiots who think it is funny or think they are being funny.
- LeafMan

I respectfully disagree.

Having just watched a teammate die of stomach cancer, humour is needed. Even if it is dark humour.

If he was healthy, and in the dressing room, we would have been happy throwing insults back and forth.

So when he was terminal, and in the palliative care room of the hospital, to not treat him like one of the guys would have been wrong.

Anyhoo, probably too heavy for Hockeybuzz on a Friday. Didn't want to open up this can of worms, but this wound is still a little fresh with me.

Wow, way too many metaphors there.

Not a big fan of War movies or gangster movies, they are all the same, if I do watch a war movie, it is The Longest Day.
