The best part about Kadri training with Roberts is the show of dedication: Roberts only commits to personally training an athlete if they're committed to the entire process. No shortcuts, no missing sessions, etc.

I think Eakins comment was "you're a 21 year old trapped in an 18 year olds' body".

I'd much rather hear Kadri's issues are not with commitment to the game, laziness on the ice, focus, etc. (from all accounts he has neither of those issues), but something as straightforward as getting bigger and stronger.

As for the center thing, as long as we move dead weight and make room for our Marlies graduates, I don't care what they try in camp: let Kadri center Lupul and Kessel for a game or two, fine by me.

Steckel sucks at everything outside of face offs, and it's not like the Leafs have been struggling at faceoffs.

That and probably a smoke screen. I doubt Burke and Carlyle truly have visions of JVR at center. By saying they will try him there, sort of sends out the signal that the Leafs aren't that desperate to find another top 6 center man. Doubt the other GM's in the league are buying in to it though

Steckel had the most hits out of all our forwards last year by a county mile; he was 2nd in blocked shots. He does not suck; he's a perfect 4th line center.
