Look at both prospect pools. Did you watch the draft this year? The Flames had one of the most pathetic drafts in modern era.

The Leafs have a young core. The Flames are getting older. One of the oldest teams in the league yet they can't even take a sniff at the playoffs. Sad really.

Based on what? You can't judge a draft a month after it happens, that is ridiculous.

By the way, I absolutely guarantee that the 2012 Flames draft will be better than the 1999 Leafs draft which I do believe is considered the worst draft by an NHL team ever. Nine rounds drafted for a total of 3 NHL games played resulting in 1 assist!!!

Great read, but why do you have Hannan and Kostopolous listed in the lineup? I can't see why the flames would bring them back.

I am very optimistic about the flames this year! The amount of skill they have now and with a few returning vets, I feel they will be very entertaining!

I've played competitive hockey my whole life and I appreciate that the flames aren't "tanking" for a 1st overall pick.

People on these forums that say the flames should tank and sell off every asset have never played sports. A losing culture is a cancer and embarrassing.

NHL players want to win.

If the Oilers get a top 5 pick yet again this year, Ebs, Hall, Hopkins, Yak will all be like "this team sucks.... lets get out of here".

I feel their is way more pressure on the Oilers than the Flames this year.
